Here is an analysis of UK study about Omicron, with NZ specifically commented on from 15 min. The point is made that people who have had COVID have BETTER protection than those who are vaccinated, raising the question, why so people who have had COVID need to get vaccinated?

One of the clearest presentations I've seen on the effectiveness of vaccination to prevent hospitalisation and death.
A large section of the video focuses just on New Zealand and Campbell paints a stark picture of what is to come with community spread of Omicron.
He also points out the law of diminishing returns with boosters which are effective for less and less time.
Based on his figures, the best bet is definitely to be vaccinated but this only lasts about 5 months so for many people they won't get much, if any protection from the original dose. Unfortunately the first booster is only effective for about 10 weeks so you have to time it right for the surge.
He also rubbishes the theory that vaccinating children protects vulnerable adults from infection.
