Garrick Tremain: Watching James Cook

 Here is Garrick Tremain's cartoon commentary on Tusiata Avia and  James Cook! 




Garrick Tremain is one of New Zealand's best known artists and political cartoonists. With a background in farming and advertising, he has a wonderful ability to capture in images exactly what people are thinking in a way that makes us laugh. You can see his more of his work on his website HERE.

Tremains's mild depiction suggests he has not seen the photo which appeared in the recent Auckland Festival programme. Can someone please copy to Tremain. The whole disgraceful episode, including Meng Foon's non response, was ignored by the msm.

To think that we would ever see this as an amusement. Is it life imitating art?
The buckled shoes would be jandals these days.

In reality Tusiata is about 3 times the bulk depicted and in the Festival promotional photo is brandishing a knife 3 times bigger.
