There are nearly 60,000 New Zealanders overdue for a first appointment with a health specialist.
That’s a 67 per cent increase in 12 months, and health officials admit: “Referrals for first specialist assessments are greater than our capacity to treat.”
Amazing that Labour could increase spending by so much, yet have almost every indicator get far worse.

When I was first contacted by my regional health board about some minor surgery (nasal polyp removal), they said there was a waiting list of at least 4 months.
After 4 months I got back to them and was told the waiting list is now 15 months.
If my experience is anything to go by, this is getting serious!
Are Maori still going to prioritized for surgery under this Coalition ?
or was that only to apply under Ardern's reign ?
Don't recall that being a line in the 1840 Treaty.
