David Farrar: Disinformation from Te Pati Maori

Te Pati Maori in a burp of disinformation declared Eric Crampton as the policy mind between the Foreshore & Seabed law and Marine and Coastal Area law. Of course once again the media largely ignore the fact they just tell blatant lies.

Three inconvenient facts:

1. Eric, then a university economics lecturer, had nothing to do with either law

2. An MP who did advocate for and voted for the Foreshore & Seabed law was John Tamihere – the now President of TPM

3. The Marine and Coastal Areas law (replacing the FS law) was negotiated with Te Pati Maori, whom all voted for it

David Farrar runs Curia Market Research, a specialist opinion polling and research agency, and the popular Kiwiblog where this article was sourced. He previously worked in the Parliament for eight years, serving two National Party Prime Ministers and three Opposition Leaders

This leads to another conundrum - if ignorance is bliss, why are they always so angry?

How long is the speaker going to allow The Maori Party to take their seats in our legislative chamber when they refuse to comply with one of the basic requirements of any political party, charity or commercial enterprise, i.e. file audited financial returns. They're taking the p==s.
All TMP M.P.s should be denied access to the building and have their govt. rights, privileges and email accounts suspended until they play by the rules.

Agree with you G Marshall but until we get a majority of Govt MPs with some backbone to do anything, it will be the status quo

If we could get a proper Speaker of the House instead of Mr Bumble, things may improve
