Get the feeling the 100% importance of all things Maori by Auckland Council in respect of the CRL and, now this tells us non maori are a non consideration for transport in Auckland?
Perhaps non maori stick to cars rather than our race based transport system Auckland Council is obsessed with.
Why does he earn more than the mayor? Because he's Maori.
Rubbish ! He doesn't earn a penny - he is paid an exorbitant amount of taxpayers money to pontificate about the virtues of Maori , and con the councilors and their staff that Maori deserve more for being Maori.
If Maori insist that everyone takes notice of their "world view", how does the rest of the world regard this ?

What is the problem. Wellington council obviously thinks that the Maori in Wellington are to dumb and stupid to be able to handle life without help. So they have done the sensible thing and given them the help they need. The high salary just shows how much help these poor Maori need to get through the challenges of live.
Who would have thought a railway line could become and could be the proclamation of a race and culture?
That it needed artwork, and even more, artwork exclusive to the Maori culture. That station names were exclusively Maori, that signage predominately spoke Maori?
I note the leftist publications weirdly fawning over the CRL, not for it's technical achievements but for it's aesthetics and it's emotional vibe that the masses can be happily transported through this emotional wonderland.
The CRL has become a symbol of Soviet-esk planning for the greater good rather than the individual, one that pushes and promotes one race at the expense of all others.
Further to Anon 9.58AM - 3 years is long enough - if they had focused on the right thing but Luxon has been too weak and woke to do that.
