While TOP claims slashing WINZ bureaucracy and replacing current benefits makes it “self-funding,” many, strongly doubt the maths. Counting on a volatile property market/property tax to fund permanent public payouts is nothing short of a dangerous gamble. If land values drop or revenue falls short, the country will come face to face with a catastrophic fiscal shortfall.
Compounding TOP’s radical economic shift is an equally polarising cultural stance.

TOP absolutely have a desire to divide the country and provide some citizens with privileges based on some self-identified token ancestry. If that's not bad enough, how incredibly stupid is it to rename a country that has spent the best part of the last two centuries establishing and promoting itself on the world stage - a stage that it absolutely needs to prosper.
Anyone that votes for these clowns is not only stupid, but deserve our contempt - for they are actively voting against the unity and success of this country.

Peter you’re the one being stupid if you think TOP is here to divide. They’re one of the few parties who are neutral and want to lift up both business and people. The hatred from ill informed journeymen such as yourself is without basis.
TOP is a party or reckless opportunists. One has to be extremely gullible to believe that they want to lift both people and property. All they want is to get to the corridors of power on the wings of a social experiment with unpredictable consequences.
Anon@9.48 - the facts speak for themselves and your naivety is manifest when you claim TOP is "neutral". The only "lift" to businesses and the people (by TOP's taxation/wealth redistribution plans) is only likely to be the initial inflation, fuelled by a corrupted economy. That said, please do explain how the redistribution of wealth by taxing (unequally) all property owners; endorsing the likes of He Puapua; and, the rebranding of our country, will somehow miraculously enhance unity and prosperity for all?
So, I take it that you're a 'party hack', or have you just otherwise been suckered by the thought of some free, unearned income provided at others' expense - all wrapped in some mellifluous (but insidious) words coming from a pleasantly smiling countenance?
Either way, enjoy your delusion - but if it comes to pass, it will be at the expense of the majority and the country as a whole..
