The latest food regs have gone completely over the top, once again with the dairy industry making it so hard and so expensive for the few farmers who want to supply raw milk to the community, that many of them have pulled out. I was talking to one young chap whose family supplied raw milk near Blenheim who said the cost of milk testing every 10 days was about $20000 per year and unless he sold 500 liters a day it was costing him big time. But there are many families out there whose health has improved since drinking unpasteurized milk. Why can't these people choose their own destiny?
