James Allan: The Indigenous Voice to Parliament is a “licence for judicial activism”.

“On principle grounds, on judicial activism grounds and because empirically you can’t point to a single country that has had good outcomes from going down an ethnic or race-based division.”

Professor Allan is the Garrick Professor of Law at the University of Queensland, a member of the Mont Perelin Society, an author and commentator. Canadian born, he practised law in Canada and at the Bar in London before teaching law in Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia.
