DTNZ: Trump warns Venezuelan jets could be shot down amid rising tensions

US President Donald Trump has warned that Venezuelan jets flying over American naval vessels could be shot down, following two reported incidents of Venezuelan aircraft approaching US ships near South America.

The warning comes days after a US strike on a Venezuelan boat alleged to be carrying drugs killed 11 people, an operation Venezuela denies.

President Nicolás Maduro rejected US allegations of drug trafficking and called for dialogue, insisting disputes should not lead to military conflict.

Trump, who has intensified anti-drug-trafficking operations since returning to office in January, said Venezuela would be in “trouble” if the situation escalated.

The US has deployed additional naval forces, marines, and 10 F-35 jets to the region, while Trump has doubled the reward for Maduro’s arrest to $50 million, accusing him of being a leading narco-trafficker.

This is how you do it folks. Fight back against the corrupt far left lunatics. Winston, Shane and David are doing a good job, but there is such a mess to be sorted.....

So Anon 8.10 is all in favour of Trump assuming the role of judge, jury and executioner, if only in international waters where no-one can claim he is violating the Constitution. Who needs due process? But why stop at small boats on the open seas (even if it is called the Gulf of America)? In the spirit of Panama and Grenada, just send the marines into Venezuela. There's such a mess to be sorted..... I'm sure a State of Emergency can be conjured up (at least inside Trump's head) and that's all that matters these days. Even if the real reason is retribution for the seizure of American oil company assets in 2007. Hell, now they have a Department of War, its binary he-men warriors need a little practice shooting people before taking on Greenland. What could possibly go wrong?
