Elon Musk has once again said the thing everyone else is too scared to say. On The Joe Rogan Experience, Musk laid out a story that is shocking, disturbing and sadly believable in today’s climate. His message was simple. The institutional push to transition children is not compassion. It is ideological madness that has captured schools, governments and entire cultural institutions. And Musk is absolutely right to call it out.
Musk described a close friend in California whose teenage daughter was being quietly pulled into the trans pipeline by her school. Teachers and bureaucrats were allegedly working behind the scenes to push life-altering medical interventions while actively turning the girl against her own father. It got so extreme that police were sent to the home to remove the child.
Anyone hearing that story should feel sick. Musk is correct. That would radicalise any parent alive.
His friend escaped on a flight to Texas, and after a year in a normal school, the girl simply went back to being herself. No identity crisis. No irreversible medical pathway. Just a teenager who had been swept up in something that was never real. Musk is right to highlight this. If a young person can “go back to normal” simply by leaving the ideological pressure cooker, the issue is not the child, it is the environment.
Musk and Rogan then touched on something more and more people are admitting. The explosion in transgender-identifying teens has all the hallmarks of a social contagion. The numbers defy reason. Entire friend groups suddenly declaring new identities together is not organic. It is cultural conditioning. Musk is correct to point out that children are extraordinarily impressionable. If they can be manipulated into extremism in other parts of the world, convincing them of gender confusion is hardly difficult.
Another point Musk raises is the rejection from many gay and lesbian people who refuse to be packaged into the trans narrative. Musk is right that telling a young gay kid that they must actually be the opposite sex is not progress. It is regressive and homophobic. And it is happening.
Where Musk really nails it is in his criticism of medical interventions on minors. He calls it what it is. Mutilation. Sterilisation. Permanent changes being sold to parents as kindness and suicide prevention. Musk has looked at the data he refers to, and he says the claim that transition reduces suicide risk is a lie. He says the evidence he has seen suggests the risk increases. You do not have to agree with every detail to understand his broader point. We are carrying out irreversible procedures on vulnerable children without the long term science to justify it.
Musk draws a stark comparison. A teenager cannot legally get a tattoo because they might regret it. Yet activists insist they are mature enough to choose sterilisation and surgery that removes healthy body parts. It is insanity, and Musk is right to say it plainly.
He also highlights something the public never hears about. Surgical complications. Failed procedures. Young people who die on the operating table. Musk says the technology is not good enough to do what activists claim medicine can do. That should alarm anyone who cares about children’s welfare.
The entire movement relies on emotional blackmail. Save trans kids. Protect trans kids. If you do not comply, you want children dead. Musk exposes this for what it is. A manipulative tactic designed to silence dissent and bully parents into agreement.
His final point is the most important. “It is a nightmare fever dream and people are finally waking up from it.”
The cultural spell is breaking. The fear of speaking openly is fading. The grip of trans ideology over children’s healthcare, education and public policy is losing its strength. Musk is not creating the backlash. He is giving voice to the millions who have been quietly horrified and waiting for someone with influence to say what needed to be said.

This doesn't only apply to the US. In NZ we have the Conversion Practices Prohibition Legislation Act 2022 which makes it an offense to perform a "conversion practice" on a person aged under 18. Sounds reasonable until you read the Legislation more closely.
"Conversion practice" has a definition that includes suppressing the individual’s gender identity but not if that means assisting gender transition. In other words, if you help a confused teenager change their gender that's ok, but if you try to talk them out of it, or to even exercise caution, then you can be sent to prison for three years. In NZ, Elon Musk's friend would have broken the law.
Add to that the furor, encouraged by the media, that occurs when someone like Posie Parker comes to NZ. Add all the national sporting authorities that encourage biological males to compete in female sporting events here. The nightmare and ideological madness is still alive and well in New Zealand.
Obviously children aren’t being pulled into a trans pipeline. This is just the gay scare of the 70s and 80a all over again with another kind of ribbon. I don’t know why people are falling for it “won’t someone please think of the children”. Crazy times, so much disinformation and hatred and, as ever, a pipeline of vulnerable folks ripe for the foolin’. Wait til you hear about how much sexual abuse is being perpetrated by priests and other people in positions of power in churches across the globe! If you cared about children, you’d be outraged!
Posie Parker is a character, not a real person. We wouldn’t protest against Scooby-Doo. There is however a fear peddler with dark funding named Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull who had a good run on the hate-grift circuit, but thankfully people have gotten bored of her, for the most part.
All the while, people in positions of power rob the rest of us blind. Culture-war distractions have been the greatest thing for the oligarchs, it took some organising to get them up and running, but boy-howdy, they are doing a heck of a job.
It's an old trick of those doing wrong to say, "Hey, someone else is doing worse!" (see Anon 541 above). Even when that is true, it does not excuse the wrongdoer (the popular aphorism "two wrongs don't make a right" covers it fairly well).
The writer should note that reports of child abuse by church members DID result in widespread 'outrage' which in turn brought about effective measures such as prosecutions of those responsible.
The same rightful outrage is now being directed at predatory adults who have been let loose on impressionable youngsters with their 'trans' social engineering agenda (not to mention the grooming aspect). Society has neglected its duty of care towards its youngest members by failing to protect them from these mind-benders. Fortunately, a growing number of countries have been realising this and passing legislation to spike the guns of those seeking to recruit young children to their deviant lifestyle. For example, Hungary has passed a law that prohibits the dissemination to minors of material that "propagates or portrays divergence from self-identity corresponding to sex at birth, sex change or homosexuality". Even liberal Denmark has tightened up on dispensing puberty blockers in cases of that largely induced syndrome "gender dysphoria".
Here in NZ the campaign against the gender-bender agenda has been growing in intensity and success is on the horizon.
Like so many people, I am of the 'live and let live' persuasion and turn a blind eye to what consenting adults get up to behind closed doors. But once children start being targeted, 'tolerance' has to give way to protecting the vulnerable through means that restrict the activities of those people.
Hm, I rather suspect Anon 920 and Anon 541 are one and the same.......... two hands beating the same drum............. same fallacy, same red herrings!
This seems like an article written with a strong bias towards Musks view. This subject requires much more balance & depth in its reporting. Do better.
Protective measures are in place, Barend?
Sexual abuse within the Roman Catholic faith was and is a global scandal, with thousands of priests and church personnel accused and hundreds of thousands of substantiated victims since 1950 and in the wider Christian church network crimes continue to be committed. Almost none of the perpetrators have faced criminal consequences, and leaders are not holding offenders accountable.
This is powerful getting away with it 101 while they pick a new minority to blame things on. Best estimates place 216,000 abuse victims at the hands of the church. We see stories weekly about church leaders being charged with offences. And we get performative virtue signalling from people like Matua who doesn’t appear to really be worried about the children as much as as he is kicking a minority and simping for an oligarch.
You're still doing it, Anon 1115 - trying to divert attention away from one wrongdoing to another in the hope that that will make the first one invisible. Doesn't work.
There seems to be a second fallacy at work here too, which is that there is virtue in belonging to a 'minority' and that this somehow nullifies wrongdoings done by them. Wrong.
Anon 1032 (or should I simply say 'Anon' since they all seem to be the same character?) wants more "balance". S/he can lead the way by writing a non-biased, 'balanced' article on sexual abuse in churches.
Barend you made a claim that protective measures are in place, someone has called you out on that directly, and you haven’t addressed it but instead commented on some other topics. Pot, kettle, black.
Matua’s article isn’t anything insightful or creative, it’s a copy+paste of the gay scare from back in the day. It is only right that people can speak freely about that on a site promoting reasoned discussion.
But enough of us talking past each other, she’s a great day out there, let’s all go and get amongst! Merry Christmas!
Anon is treating us like fools.
Anyone who has been following the news for the past couple of decades knows what measures were taken by the Catholic Church to address the paedophile problem in their midst. There should be no need for me to remind anyone of the sordid details.
"Commented on some other topics", huh. Actually I steered the discussion back to where it began with the article - adults manipulating children's impressionable minds with regard to sex. Nothing "back in the day: about it either - it's very much an ongoing issue and the likes of Anon are finding themselves on the losing side. Hence these rather pathetic attempts at diverting attention away from this campaign targeting vulnerable youngsters.
Pot, kettle, black: that's racist! Actually, Have a White Christmas is racist, too. I hope nobody's buying holiday (because 'Christmas ' might offend) gifts on the black market....
Barend, the anon you refer to is a whining leftie who is probably one of the sickos promoting this evil. These lunatics stand out like as they try to change the subject in order to obfuscate . He then claims that you are talking past each other.....no only the leftie is. I have a feeling this leftie chap know his days are numbered, the good people are now rising against these radical sickos. He's really panicking. Excellent.
“whining leftie who is probably one of the sickos promoting this evil”
This is exactly the kind of thing dragging down the reputation of breaking views. Someone calls out ongoing church abuse of children (not a wholly unrelated topic in my view) and they get accused by some anon - with no evidence - who resorts to name calling to boot. Is there a published mod policy, or is it a vibe based thing?
Hmm the truth hurts you lot doesnt it. BViews reputation is very much intact, its here to promote news that the far left msm wont ever touch, such as news like this.
Now i know you will be seething with rage that your far left whacko ideology is under intense pressure, so of course you need to try and change the subject... typical far left behavior.
Seem to have struck the lefties nerve....again, excellent.
Elon Musk's son transitioned and Elon is devastated. He was convinced of the need for this transition because of being told his son was a suicide risk. Afterwards he learned this was a lie the transistioners made up to get their own way.
He has every right to be very angry .
Musk loves to swagger into a controversy and declare himself the last sane man in the room. This time it is gender medicine. He says it is mutilation, claims it is all a lie, and paints parents as gullible victims of activists. It is dramatic, sure, but that is Musk’s style. The problem is that real life is rarely that simple. Parents making decisions about their kids are not part of some ideological cult. They are frightened. They are often desperate. And they are sifting through conflicting advice from experts who cannot even agree among themselves. Reducing that to a villain-versus-victim story is cheap and easy, which might explain why it plays so well online.
There is a conversation to be had about medical interventions on minors, about what is safe and what is too soon. That debate must happen, but it has to be done with facts, not slogans. Musk’s “truth-telling” is not research. It is rhetoric travelling at the speed of his Wi-Fi. People deserve better than shock therapy via social media. Maybe instead of crowning him the new champion of common sense, we should be asking why the biggest talker in the room is always the one saying the least.
The simple fact that the gender benders don't like is that "Posie Parker" is strongly pro-womans rights. Just so happens that woman's rights often clash with trans rights and some people don't like it. Woman's and girls rights should take priority every time
Those that defend these types of people are just as guilty as the perpetrators and should be treated as such. It is always the left.
This liberal nonsense all started when we have woke the right to vote. I think we went too early, we see them voting against their own interests more often than not. The west needs to reclaim its masculinity
Anon 739 may have touched on a delicate but topical issue here, which is the image of masculinity. There has been of late a tendency to label classical masculine traits as 'toxic' and to make males feel guilty about being masculine. This may well be the trigger, or part of the trigger, that makes some young guys feel that they ought to 'transition', thereby dumping their 'toxic' true selves.
Much has changed in relations between the sexes over the past century or so, and the public image of 'womanhood' has changed quite radically with it. Perhaps it is a problem that the construct of 'manhood' has not kept pace.
I think about masculinity constantly.
