David Farrar: IMF’s 2027 growth forecasts

The IMF has just published their forecasts for economic growth for 2027. They show that NZ is projected to have far better growth than many other countries. An extract:
  • New Zealand 2.6%
  • US 2.3%
  • Sweden 2.2%
  • Canada 1.7%
  • Euro area 1.2%
  • UK 1.2%
  • Germany 1.1%
  • France 0.7%
  • Italy 0.6%
There are a few countries ahead of us such as Israel and Ireland, but if we don’t throw it all away next month, we are poised for very good growth next year.

David Farrar runs Curia Market Research, a specialist opinion polling and research agency, and the popular Kiwiblog where this article was sourced. He previously worked in the Parliament for eight years, serving two National Party Prime Ministers and three Opposition Leaders
