and activated pre election. Otherwise how could Mallard have been knighted?

Never thought much of the New Years Honours list.
But now, any merit in it has been completely destroyed by this award. What a disgrace!
Clearly, threatening behaviour, bullying, making unsubstantiated and false allegations, costing the taxpayer hundreds of thousands in legal fees, and just acting like a clown in general gets you a knighthood these days.

Trev was Speaker so I suspect the Honour was automatic.
The whole concept has long been dishonored (sorry, couldn't resist) and discredited by the awarding of rewards to many simply doing their (well paid and underworked) job (often badly).
Others, of course, have been honored for being loud little communists and racists.
The awards mean nothing. I just want the pay packet.
