Kamala is on track to be the next American president. She presents a striking contrast to Trump on every count and will win the office by a record margin of Trump’s three runs to date.
The U.S Presidential voting system is highly undemocratic. It was designed that way for now redundant reasons, albeit they never had much merit in the first place.
Consider the all-import upper chamber, the Senate. This comprises two representatives from each of the 50 states. Thus Wyoming with circa 550,000 people has two representatives and California with circa 40 million people also two.
So too with the Presidential election system. Clinton won 3 million more votes than Trump in 2016 but due to the system, lost.
The same anomalies prevail in New Zealand, Britain and many other western democracies. There’s a rationale behind it but it’s still basically undemocratic.
Thus a rural vote carries a lost more voting power than an intense urban vote, such as one cast in Otaki as against one in South Auckland.
Following the last British election a cry has arisen for an MMP system, such were the anomalies. Put simply both the American and British systems for different reasons, favour the political right.
But so glaring is the contrast between Harris and Trump I sense a landslide victory for her, despite the system’s distortions.
One is a highly educated public office-holder, the other an astonishing ignoramus who relies on lies and personal abuse, is a convicted rapist, a property developer who not a single US bank will lend to, and so on and on.
If I was an American it goes without saying, holding right wing political and economic views as I do, I’d vote Republican. But not this time, rather I’d contribute financially to the Democrats, give them my vote and help remove Trump once and for all before his inevitable prison sentence as his career swansong.

Kamala hasn't of course said a lot in recent weeks so not sure why she deserves it.
She, and the rest of the so called democratic elite are air-heads. Quote: "...But not this time, rather I’d contribute financially to the Democrats, give them my vote and help remove Trump once and for all before his inevitable prison sentence as his career swansong [sic]....". In so doing, you would condemn the USA (and consequently the rest of the 'free' world) to a Jacinda-like future. Thank you very much.
Jeez Bob. I hope you're wrong. My view is the World is in trouble with another Democrat term. I'm 60 and have never seen things as bad as the last 4 years.
Written by a fellow that boasts he reads Stuff’s Dominion for guidance. I rest my case.
The electoral college system isn't supposed to be democratic, because the United States of America isn't a democracy. It is a republic and was founded as a republic.
Kamala Harris doesn't need to say much , voters are flocking to her .
And Trumps chasing more voters her way every time he opens his mouth.
So hands up everone who's happy to vote for a rapist
She is being hugely promoted almost exclusively, by the US media. Why would that be? Not unlike the NZ media pushing arden via (misnamed) PIJF money.
Hat tip: No Minister and Tom, if I may...

Is it April the first?
A rapist?
swallowed the bait hook line and sinker.
Anonymous 6.52 PM. You are absolutely correct. There is one born every minute. Dedicated followers of MSM
Somehow being a rapist , for me, is not a fraction as bad as the barbaric practices of the transgender cult in inflicting irreversible body mutilation on children causing infertility and lifelong pain.
The Judge in the case brought against Trump by E Jean Carrol clarified his ruling against Trump by saying " what the Jury found Trump did was in fact rape as commonly understood".
Look that up yourself guys. The Judge got it wrong did he ?
Yes I know, the US Department of Justice is crooked , the prosecutors are crooked, the judges, the lawyers , the jurors etc.
All biased against him
And yes I know, the media are all biased against him all of them , the TV, the newspapers. radio. All biased against Trump.
You should listen to yourselves guys.
Funny, just a month ago it was the lefties in the US all screaming the media was biased against them !
Next time you folks want to proclaim yourselves Trump supporters perhaps you could say it to a member of the opposite sex.
Do you think many would share your views of politics can ignore a candidates history of rape ?
you can't really complain about 2 senators per state (irrespective of population). this goes to the foundation of 'united states' - where states gave up selected sections of law making to be part of a union. it's similar to each house in a colony having one vote in the housing association - you can't base it on the number of family members in each house.
