DTNZ: Immigration is ‘killing’ Europe – Trump

The US president has called on European leaders to stop the “horrible” invasion of migrants that has gone on for over a decade.

US President Donald Trump has ramped up his rhetoric on immigration, claiming it is “killing” Europe and warning that European leaders must act immediately or risk losing control. The warning comes as the continent continues to grapple with a protracted migration crisis that has spanned more than a decade.

Large numbers of migrants have been entering the EU since 2015, largely caused by upheavals in the Middle East and Africa, and later the Ukraine conflict. According to the EU Commission, there were 385,445 irregular border crossings in 2023, an 18% increase from 2022.

“You’re allowing it to happen to your countries, and you’ve got to stop this horrible invasion that’s happening to Europe,” Trump said during a five-day visit to Scotland focused on his business interests, including golf resorts.

“Immigration is killing Europe,” the president added, urging leaders to take immediate action. “You better get your act together, or you’re not going to have Europe anymore.”

Trump also used the occasion to highlight his administration’s hardline stance on immigration within the US, boasting about stepped-up enforcement along the southern border.

“As you know, last month we had nobody entering our country. We removed a lot of bad people who got in,” he said.

Since returning to the Oval Office in January, Trump has reinstated strict immigration control, including mass deportations and expanded detention efforts. He has pledged to carry out the largest migrant removal operation in US history despite widespread criticism and protests across the country.

The migration crisis in Europe has been met with varied responses across the continent. While some countries initially welcomed asylum seekers, many have since reintroduced border controls and tightened immigration laws amid concerns over security and rising crime.

In April, US Vice President J.D. Vance echoed the president’s concerns, describing its migration policy as one of the Europe’s greatest threats. He warned that uncontrolled migration risks “destroying the fundamental cultural bedrock of Europe.”

Are we much different here, the only difference is we make it legal. Swamping our economy with an unskilled workforce certainly hasn't done us much good. Mainly because each government realizes it is just a giant ponzi scheme and hope they are in opposition when the wheels finally fall off.

It’s very rare to see some solid wisdom from the top huh? But Trump isn’t telling the Eurocrats anything they don’t already know. It’s all part of the larger plan, and that includes here as well. Tolerate ever-increasing unemployment at home, and import ever-increasing numbers from abroad. A great way to destroy your cultural base, and get your reward in Heaven; or possibly a little sooner?

The "matter of" Immigration into -
- Europe - was begun by Angela Merkel (previous German Chancellor) and exacerbated by Leaders of such Countries as Sweden, Belgium, who showed no understanding of what to do, and in some cases assisted by their People who "openly" assisted this factor.
In the above, there was an American Social Media personality went to Sweden to look at what was happening and whilst filming, was approached by Police and " told to stop filming and leave" - which he did - then placed said video content on YouTube. Since then Sweden has experienced major social issues with said "immigrants" - to the point white Females do not venture out at night. Germany has also experienced similar social issues. Belgium "has been overrun".
Interesting that France is "accused" of facilitating the movement of immigrants to and across The English Channel.
- England - started with Tony Blair, interestingly that the Tory Party, when in Govt have not addressed this issue, and Keir Starmer shows no inclination to so either.
Here in NZ we are not told of the social issues that have and still do occur across England, Wales and also now Ireland -that are now "out of control" that even the Police can no longer seem to cope.
They laughed at Vance and no doubt have done so to Trump over their comments - is that a situation of " they did not understand the spoken word, as it went over their heads, or in one ear and out the other"?
Oh I should have added Greece -a major problem there, just as Italy has.
