Guest Post: So Maori claim to be genetically superior

A guest post on NOMINISTER by William Chambers.

The ironic claim by Te Pati Maori of genetic superiority in those of Māori lineage showed through when, in an interview on the National Radio Programme, a part-Maori woman was asked whether she would be happy for her children to marry Pakeha. This self-opinionated woman replied that it would certainly not be acceptable, because Maori bloodlines need to be kept pure!

Can you imagine if, in the same context, a Pakeha had said that on radio. All hell would have broken loose.

The question that should be asked regarding the racist claim of genetic superiority is: “In what way”. The fact being, IF Maori were superior in the way of intelligence and business acumen, then they wouldn’t need hand-outs or hand-ups.

Of course, Maori will explain away their failings by playing the blame card, i.e. there aren’t opportunities for them to succeed, because due to colonisation, they are a dispossessed and oppressed race.
And on top of that, face ‘discrimination’.

But hang on, how come other races of people such as Asians, Indians, Filipinos, and black Africans etc. who come to this country with nothing, manage to do very well for themselves.

The truth is, they succeed (achieve “EQUITABLE” outcomes) through work ethic and self-discipline. Without being granted preferential “rights”. Nor exploiting Welfare and/or resorting to crime.

And because they are not blighted with an “attitude” problem, it doesn’t enter their heads that they’re discriminated against. They’re too busy leading decent lives and setting high standards for themselves and their children to exhibit a ‘grievance’ mentality anyway.

Therefore, we should not be blamed (or feel guilty) about any Maori failure … which can be due to lack of personal responsibility.

The fact is, offering help based exclusively on race is apartheid, i.e. unlawful. And, is totally unjustified because what the Treaty guaranteed is equality of citizenship.

Which ironically means it is non-Maori who should feel aggrieved, due to being unfairly burdened with the cost of supporting people who, in many instances, expect it … in the sense of taking the easy way.

Besides which, the more support you offer one category of people, the more reliant they become to being carried through life. That’s not good for any society.

TALKING ABOUT SUPERIORITY … if Maori were superior regarding CAPABILITY, then why would so many rely on Welfare?

Well, laziness isn’t a modern phenomenon, because as stated in Ian Wishart’s book ‘THE GREAT DIVIDE’ a Chief known as Ihakara Tokonui was brutally honest about this trait evident in Maori, when he admitted, quote: “You know what the bee is. Some bees work, some bees are lazy. The Pakeha are like the working bee. But the Maori is like the other bee … the lazy one. And Maori take advantage of the Pakeha’s work.”

THEN, if Maori were superior as regards being HONEST, why would they make up around 51% of the prison population, even though they’re only 18% of the total population.

The irony is that some Maori (and woke “snowflakes”) blame this also on the perceived effect of colonisation.
So, they’re saying that when Europeans first arrived, Maori were honest people. Well, recorded history tells otherwise. For example, in ‘LETTERS FROM THE BAY OF ISLANDS: The Story of Marianne Williams’ by Caroline Fitzgerald, there is a quote: “When some chiefs were challenged about their dishonourable behaviour they admitted it was true, and agreed they were bad people.”

ANOTHER matter is “CHARACTER” or lack of it. If Maori were superior in this department, then why would so many Maori toddlers be abused and murdered, by their so-called caregivers.

Past history also tells very badly on them regarding character. I’ll give another quote from the ‘LETTERS FROM THE BAY OF ISLANDS’ … “A chief called Rangi admitted that Maori generally just think to themselves … I will eat, I will fight, I will distress some poor people, and take their children for slaves.”  I will also quote an excerpt from Charles Darwin’s ‘JOURNAL OF A VOYAGE AROUND THE WORLD, 1831 – 1836.’ After leaving Tahiti, the HMS Beagle visited New Zealand, and Darwin’s description of Maori is thus: “Looking at Maoris, one naturally compares them with the Tahitians … both belonging to the same family of mankind. The comparison, however, tells heavily against the Maoris. In every respect, their CHARACTER is of a lower order.”  While being brutally honest about the subject of “character” I’ll quote a visiting British envoy who was sent to New South Wales in 1835. His words were: “The Maori chiefs, as well as the Tribes to which they belong, have one and the same distinguishing features, of which rapacious, thieving, and greedy disposition is a principal one”.

NOTE: the word “rapacious” is defined in the Oxford dictionary as: “Wanting more than you have a right to”.

So nothing has changed.

THE ONE, and only thing Maori might be able to come up with to justify any perceived superiority, is their so-called wisdom in the way of spirituality. But that claim is based on nothing but the fact that, in an evolutionary sense, they are only minutes removed from a primitive, stone age existence. So, they’re still clinging to hocus-pocus beliefs that defy logic or SCIENTIFIC scrutiny. Which signals a sign of ignorance – not superior knowledge. And any ‘special’ knowledge that Maori might imagine is unique to “indigenous” peoples, is just like the claim of them actually being indigenous … utter baloney.

CONCLUSION: the outrageous delusion of Maori superiority is not backed-up by reality. But is a totally unwarranted put-down to all other races of people. So, this claim must be called out for what it is … blatant racism.

Which is instigated by the few stirrers at the top trying to wear us down … by resorting to the tactic of using any, and every opportunity to gain the upper hand.

In other words, it‘s all about ultimate “control“.

And they‘re well on their way to achieving their goal.

I have visited and sometimes lived in a number of tribal societies around the world that would have been referred to as primitive in the days before political correctness. One thing they all have in common is a belief in their superiority. That is because they have little interest or comprehension of the world outside. There are some Maori (a minority) who share that attitude and belief. That shows how little they have advanced since their stone age ancestors, a few generations ago.

Well, it's actually part-Maori to be accurate. I was mulling over the recent Medical Councils stupidity and commenters responses that part-Maori were disadvantaged and had a disposition to inherit, naturally occurring, bad health outcomes. However, if at least 50% -75% of their genes are "other", then those genes should ensure that they are actually in the same boat as the rest of us. For example, some communities might have a tendency to higher stroke rates, heart disease or communicable disease rates.
So yes, wake up people, outside this orbit. This one issue alone is not about health. It is about the insidious UNDRIP.

''Maori'' are already all part white so tainted already like my deluded minority Maori relatives

Which would lead you to think that far from their ancestors being intrepid explorers, they were exiled from their Pacific homelands because of these character traits.

Hear, hear! And if their genetics are superior, why then the such poor stats when it comes to health? (Notwithstanding their abilities in certain sports and the likes of our Winston, in his 80th year, who has partaken of alcohol and cigarettes for much of it.)

No, they are not superior, but they are exceedingly proficient at playing the victim card when it suits, and now we have our medics and nurses (following the path of our pharmacists, et al) who are essentially required to genuflect to that (purportedly) oppressed and disadvantaged indigenous minority. This all because of a Treaty - one that doesn't (apparently) have an aim to convey equality for the individual - no, its purpose was to ensure participation, partnership, and protection of the sovereignty and self-determination of one specific racial cohort (or, more particularly, the fractional descendants of such) and, by virtue of it, it's now to be the responsibility of those healthcare providers to individually and personally act as representatives of the Crown 'partner' to ensure those bestowed with traces of those superior genetics have 'equitable outcomes', whatever the (irreproachable) Waitangi Tribunal (inevitably) determines those to be - since they're not otherwise defined anywhere.

And, yes, we appear to have many elected and unelected 'Aotearoans' thinking this will create a more cohesive, healthy, and successful society for us all. How deluded is that? But it's the trajectory we seem hellbent on following, despite what happened in South Africa.

This article asks the right question: In what way is Maori genetics superior? I think it likely that Maori genetics is superior in relation to sport.

Similarly, as is also conjectured, I also believe that Asian and European genetics are superior to Polynesian genetics with respect of intelligence, as measured by IQ tests. I also believe that is the fundamental reason for the other differences mentioned in the article.

The definitive study is Race Differences in Intelligence Second Revised Edition, 2015 by Richard Lynn.

The first 2006 edition is available on the net and includes similar results. See Chapter 9 for Polynesians and Table 13.1 for “Summary of race differences in intelligence” for various races (Note East Asians 105 average):

Of course, Maori may claim to be genetically superior at sport … but they’re certainly not as good as their Polynesian cousins, especially Samoans and Tongans.
And even they can’t claim much skill in sports that require anything other than brawn.

If Maori are so bloody superior and clever why hadn't they found the most basic of all technologies such as pottery or the wheel ?

There is not a scrap of evidence to support the argument that one ethnic group is genetically superior to another.
I use the word "ethnic" because there is only one "human race".
All humans share 99.9% of their DNA with one another.
The small 0.1% variation does not map neatly onto “ethnic groups” or “races.”
Anyone who claims otherwise are completely ignorant about truth and science.

I can also see a lot of prejudiced nonsense in the comments here.
It seems most haven't the slightest idea how ignorant and biased they are.
Their world views seem based on a toxic mix of anecdotal "evidence", random observations and pure garbage.

I read Marianne Williams' book ",Letters from the Bay Of Islands," as a book club selection. I commented at the time that it was such an unfiltered record of Maori behavior that I was sure it would soon be banished from libraries.
It took me a lot of searching to find a copy to buy and it has been subsequently read by many others.
If we don't make a great effort to keep these early reports , we will not be able to defend our comments about current trends and reported wrongs against Maori.

Maori originally come from the hill tribes of Taiwan.I wonder why they refuse to take DNA tests?

Anon 1227, thanks for explaining to me why I can never tell the difference between an Australian Aboriginal and an Eskimo. There are no races, you say, so it must an illusion, or perhaps I need a new optical prescription.
Now of course recognising the obvious is not PC so we are given pseudoscientific reasons why race and sex supposedly don't exist. These tend to emanate from social sciences/humanities, not from hard science.
Race isn't the problem. It's what [some] people do with it. Like declaring themselves 'superior'. Gosh, we've come full circle!
Now, Anon 124, along what lines were you thinking when you wrote that? Same as mine, or the exact opposite? Let's have it!

PS It would appear that Google AI has not been programmed to distinguish between ideology and hard science. Ask it whether race is real and you get a 100% woke response. But the standard ideological kneejerk response is demonstrably mistaken or DNA testing would tell us nothing about someone's race, whereas it actually tells us a lot.
