Could cost Luxon then 2026 election. Nat. cannot be trusted in Maori matters to deal with all NZers equally.
Nats seem to be intent on ruining the country just at a slower pace than the last clowns.
Very disappointing & not what people vote for.
If only Winston was a decade or two younger this next election could of been his
Do people really want to keep voting for a party which needs to be taken, kicking and screaming, not voluntarily, to get rid of racist Treaty clauses in legislation? To thousands of New Zealanders who voted for the coalition this is not okay. For those of us who voted for NZF and ACT we are being hampered by the National Party. This is not democracy in action.
My dream is that sufficient NZers will PARTY vote ACT or NZF so that their numbers are significant. Maybe govern together with Nats as "minor" party...... eek - egg on faces at last. There has to be a tipping point in MMP to stop it always being a two-party system. In UK Lab and Conservatives have to contend with rising REFORM party - under Nigel Farage.
To be perfectly frank, Luxon cares nothing for true democracy. He cares less for what anyone else would like to see. He does pander to Potaka, Finlayson, Key and their ilk. So yes, we are being hampered when it comes to ridding our fair Country of the racism that Luxon, et al does not want us plebs to consider as an existential threat to our future well being or dare I say sanity.
By rewriting section 127, Erica has further embedded the maorification of education. If Goldsmith is going to be rewriting clauses rather than dropping them, things are quite likely to get worse not better. The arrogance of the National Party is breathtaking. They know damn well this is not what NZ voted for. As for NZ First and Act, I voted for one of you and my disappointment is growing fast. If there are arguments behind closed doors I can’t see or hear them. All I see and hear from all three coalition parties is a big fat failure to cut the racist cr*p. We're a secular democracy with universal suffrage, equality before the law and equal opportunity for all. So why aren’t we behaving like one? Where’s our colourblind legislation couched in a language the vast majority can comprehend?

Time to face the truth. The man who possibly inspired the roll-on deodorant bottle doesn't want to upset the applecart. He wants nothing more than to hobnob it with "A-listers" and get a knighthood, even if it means ruining the country in the process, just like the other recent one who had the money and connections to depart these shores, rather than face the music. He needs to be gone, along with Stanford and Potaka. Goldsmith's rewrite of the legislation will be worthless, and what's he been doing with MACA - NOTHING! If it takes him this long to deal with just one Act, how long will it take him to deal with the many tens of others that need fixing?
Wake up National voters! Oh, and where's Winnie? He'll no doubt pop his head up again and make all the right noises around election time saying useful things like "there are no Treaty principles." But where does he stand on things like "giving effect to", "acknowledging", "honouring", and that "partnership" - all sprinkled liberally around about that sacred Treaty, whose purpose has long since past? (More slippery than a kete o tuna - aka, basket of eels.)
I cannot fathom Stanford. A generation of pro maori education has apparntly already succeeded beyond the dreams of Walker, Poananga, Hohepa and co.. If she genuinely wants to improve the standard of general education ( as distinct from pro maori brainwashing) the first priority is to attract energetic, objective, rational tpes as teachers. Many pro mari converts are not, or expend all their energy furthering maori takeover. A lifetime surrounded by pro maori attitudes, endless maori function and speeches in maori and maori time, easy going maori attitudes, preferantil treatment of maori teachers, need to avoid being honest, deters many truly able from teaching.,
Stanford is a closet cultural marxist. Could be in Labour or the Green party. Now unmasked - a good thing.
More Maori content less time for the 3RS . Not a good idea , when we now have such low standards internationally . This includes the lowest scores in English literacy in the English speaking world and longest tail of underachievement in the developed world.
