Clive Bibby: Guilty Beyond Doubt

They say that TRUTH will always out.

It may take a while and cause unnecessary grief and heartache for those who have been wronged in the Courts but politically motivated lies are usually exposed within hours or days of their public delivery.

In that context. I can't think of a better example of deliberate misrepresentation than TV One's political reporter, Maiki Sherman's interpretation of the Tamaki Makauru Bi-Election result.

In her report of the Te Pati Maori overwhelming victory, she claimed the extremely low turnout (even by traditional standards) as being a protest vote against the Coalition Government.

What was she on?

Most political journalists worth their salt would almost certainly have taken the opposite view and seen the low turnout as a sign that Maori voters were pretty happy with how things are going for them.

What else would a rational observer be expected to take from a result that shows the Labour Party in free fall even amongst it's own traditional supporters.

My guess is that the Labour Candidate himself (one of the best on offer) would have been shocked by the result.

One would normally have expected it to have been a walk in the park for Labour but clearly, they have a long way to go even before they are once again a credible force in the Political world.

Back to Maiki Sherman's extraordinary announcement.

For me it was further proof, if ever it was needed, that the MSM in this country is nothing more than a rabbid bunch of "left wing" apologists masquerading as professional journalists pretending to be someone they are not.

And you don't have to wait until the NZ domiciled reporters show their political bias in the rubbish they dish up on a daily basis - just tune in to Logan Church's nightly broadcast from the US in order to get a another dollop of misreporting that usually is found only in the bankrupt offices of the DNC.

It makes you wonder who pays their retainers - most likely George Sorros in the US or the Labour Party here in Godzone.

Whatever! I have a feeling that things are about to change for most people here as the economy picks up.

In the meantime, voters would be well advised to seek the truth behind the headlines before making rash decisions based on what can only be described as political propaganda.

The majority of the MSM throughout the Western World is operating as if we are living in the "Last Days".

My reading of scripture suggests we are someway off that but there is no doubt evil does exist.

It depends a lot on who you believe is telling the truth.

And we should all be grateful that we live in a country where we all have an equal opportunity to reject that we are told if it doesn't stack up with what we know to be true.

Our future is still in our hands.

Let's keep it that way.
