Here’s the problem: the radical left are increasingly taking over the Democrat Party and the moderates in the party lack the fortitude to take them on because they agree with much of what the radical left stands for. They are being sucked into a movement that will eventually destroy them and their party – probably sooner rather than later. Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point will now explode, as will the MAGA movement.
The political left and the media that peddle all the lies and misinformation are a self-centred and hateful lot. The assassination of Charlie Kirk and the two attempts on President Trump’s life are all proof of that. Anyone who has an ounce of decency, integrity and respect should completely divorce themselves from having any involvement with the left of politics and their friends in the media.
The reaction of the left to Charlie Kirk’s death has been abhorrent. They are evil: they have no principles, they promote violence and every other abnormal belief that is contributing to the wrecking of a normal society as we know it. They have screwed the education system and allowed universities to become a hotbed for the spewing of their vitriolic Marxist rhetoric. Now, teachers are being suspended or fired all across America for denigratory posts linked to Charlie Kirk’s death.
These are the same people who are poisoning young people’s minds, filling them with hatred and teaching them their warped beliefs. Under the Biden administration, parents were being trespassed for turning up to school board meetings to protest what their children were being taught. Charlie Kirk went to universities to encourage rational debate, to talk about the principles of conservatism and to promote the blessings of living a Christian life. These are all things that are at odds with the left.
The left do not engage in rational debate: they believe their way is the only way. Anyone who has a high profile and publicly disagrees with them is, as we have witnessed on a number of occasions, literally risking their life. These crimes are usually committed by young adult males motivated by the brainwashing from some educational institution feeding them with a hatred towards those who have a different opinion to theirs.
The left no longer adhere to the principles on which their movement was founded: to look after the people living in the poorer end of town and to represent the working classes. They had, at the heart of their political philosophy, an interest to address the needs of society in areas like housing and welfare. No longer. It’s academia and the elites that they have linked up with – people who largely have little interest in society’s ills. They are now living in ivory towers or belonging to activist groups.
The DNA of today’s left portrays anger and hatred. Evidence is now being found that they did indeed rig the 2020 election. I have watched members of Trump’s cabinet being cross examined by Congress to obtain confirmation of their nomination. Some Democrats displayed an abnormal fury when asking questions. They displayed complete contempt for some of the nominees, in particular the ex-Democrats, Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr.
They went to lengths to try and prevent Trump from winning in 2024. The district attorneys in Democrat-run states dreamed up all sorts of charges to keep him tied up in courtrooms instead of out campaigning and lefty judges duly obliged. The Democrats were all consumed by Trump and still are. Their only raison d’être is to ‘get Trump’. It is shameful behaviour.
I highlight this to try and make some sense of how Charlie Kirk’s assassination came to be. In our own parliament, David Seymour wanted to pay tribute to the life of a man who was a shining light, especially for young people – showing them debate was healthy and discussing the options they had in life in terms of politics and religion. Labour and the Greens objected, showing their true colours.
In England, under a Labour Government, it is considered unpatriotic to fly the Union Jack or the flag of St George, presumably because it might offend some individuals who shouldn’t even be in the country. In Canada, the Liberals are taking all the energy Alberta supplies but what Alberta receives from Ottawa in return is peanuts. The Liberal Government gives the most assistance to Liberal-run states on the east coast while ignoring the western conservative states such as Alberta.
As happened with Trump, similar scenarios are playing out in France and Germany, where the left are trying to ban either right-wing candidates or parties. ‘Far-right’ the media call them. This is not what politics is supposed to be about: it is supposed to be a contest of ideas and opinions debated in a reasoned and objective manner.
What is the upshot of all of this for the political left and their friends in the media? People are deserting them in droves. In all 50 states in America, voter registrations are showing this trend. Overall, since Trump came to power, the Democrats have lost 2.1 million voters and the Republicans have gained 2.4 million. Following Charlie Kirk’s death they are set to lose millions more.
Turning Point USA had 1.7 million followers when Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Two days after his death that figure stood at nearly 12 million. A lot of those will be young people of voting age, or soon to be. They are now lost to the Democrats. But no matter how much of a hiding voters are giving the Democrats, they refuse to alter their narrative. That attitude beggars belief.
Anyone observing the world since the assassination of Charlie Kirk will have noticed a significant turn to the right. This was happening to a degree prior to his killing, but now the left have exacerbated it. We are not immune from the hate and anger in this country. Leading the way are the Māori Party and the Greens. Labour are not far behind. The political left, along with their global counterparts, no longer represent democracy. They deserve to become political pariahs.
Every one of us on the right has a ‘no-fail mission’ to ensure this is the case.
