True, but who knows what violence these people are capable of? Angry, frustrated and weak people are dangerous and we have them by the number.
I have observed that most of the people who abuse service workers are the same ones that think they are entitled to a free ride through life, hmmm I wonder which ethnic group that is ?
The trouble is that if you defend yourself and damage the miscreant attacking you, you're the one facing the music.
B. V - how true, but - the objective in such situations is "to entice the dumb........, to hit you. Then you retaliate, and state to the Police - " They struck first, I was defending myself, which I am entitled to do".
Oh, in a former 'world' I have been in such situations, and the Police had zero tolerance for such "interactions" from the "perp"
who ended up in handcuffs, sitting in the back seat of the patrol car. Sadly it is the " world wise accomplices', of said "perp" who then have an onset of "loose lips and very unsavory words, delivered to all in sundry" (at scene) - aka "verbale diarrhea", usually brought on by an overdose of visiting the Pub.
Yup NZ has not changed, still the same as yesterday and it will be repeated tomorrow.
"I am entitled to do" works until you damage the assailant and then you get done for assault.
I despise most things about the US but there is one thing I agree with them about, which is the right to carry loaded firearms and use them in self-defence.
