Insights From Social Media: Yes There Is Warming?

Gravedodger writes > However I am not convinced it is all about mans involvement in environmental impacts.

In fact if man is able to become involved in what is now termed Climate Change as opposed to Global Warming and Global cooling for reasons the fear and scare tactics involved were conforming in the Ponnzi schemes to turn weather variables into something taxable, as said before why not employ the technology supposedly causing thr climate to change to relieve droughts.

Yes winters no longer leave a permanent frozen ground such as we endured until after mid day when frost turned to mud c1940s when general Winter became victorious in ending the Nazi hoards at the River Volga, but imo it is more about night time temperatures.

Currently we are being bombarded with predictions of hot day time temperatures as if it is a. new. phenomenon.

We moved from Canterbury to Wairarapa in 1980 and during one of the pre takover of the farm we made a visit to Masterton in February and there was a day time shade temperature of 39 degrees celsius and I do not recall any cries of impending disaster or any additional taxation to counter it.
The following christmas/ new year we joined the safari to Coromandel finally freed from the harvest constraints summer had bound us to the farm in North Canterbury. Heading up the Coromandel Peninsula about December 20th, we drove past many paddocks that had been recently shorn of vegetation for hay and a few days later travelling around for exploration, all those paddocks had become shanty settlements of cars, tents caravans boats BBQs, all the paraphernalia of the NZ Summer Holidays c1980/81.
We had encountered similar but on a smaller scale around the Beaches of Pegasus Bay but this was magnitudes more intensive.
One day in the New Year our travels took us to the very north of the Peninsula to a little place called Fletcher Bay and boy oh boy was that north facing cove a veritable cauldron, walking on sand an impossible venture without footwear. Again no publicity no dramas just a spell of wonderful summer weather requiring ample adjacent water for survival.

Yes today in Hawkes Bay the car tech tells me it is 33 degrees Celsius and it is warm indeed but sans any fricken hay to cart, grass seed to harvest who cares so long as the fridge keeps the ale cool and salads and cold meat edible safely it matters little.

I was a pupil at Waiau Primary school in the late 1940s and almost every morning, May through to August was laced leather boots, a flannel shirt and woolen jersey with a Leather jacket for the 2 Kms walk or bike to the school bus.

Days when the August school Holidays saw the Amuri Ski Club set up a learners facility at the Clarence River end of Jacks Pass in the late fifties, now the Club struggles to open its field thousands of feet higher on Mt St Patrick. Are we doomed, I do not think so and growing Pineapples on the Canterbury Plains beckons.

The Luxon led Coalition must eventually reconsider its annual shafting by Europeans under the Paris accords as buying relief from the gradual warming from the Ice age has a way to go yet and an increasingly hungry world will need our cheap environmentally secure protein that even after adding in the “Food Miles” remains safe secure and environmentally advantageous when compared to the factory mind set Northern hemisphere production systems.

Yen protectionist politically driven opposition to the truely clean green milk and beef with threats of levies and taxes but the truth is that The Paris accords are a Ponzi scam of munificent levels and we are committing a very slow suicide in continuing to allow the Billions we so desperately need invested here to maintain prosperity, health and educational needs to keep a place in the increasingly stupid manipulated world of the second quarter of the 21st century.

There will of course be politically inspired assaults on us as a primary production dependent Nation but the bullet must be dealt to sooner rather than later as we are truely bleeding out until we staunch the self imposed wound.

cf. "Germany is expecting heavy snowfalls of up to 20cm after record winds of more than 210kph left almost 400,000 homes in France without electricity, as Storm Goretti battered north-western Europe" (The Guardian)
Hm..........
