Our biggest threats are:

Whoever put this video opinion piece together appears to be concerned with the wrong thing, bit that their concern is even a valid thing.
To the dreamer at 1:52pm, that ship of 'existential crisis' has long since sailed. Vote for your 'Green' candidate if you're a believer in that idiocy. Greta has a place for you in her Goblin heart. And just btw, the climate has always changed, and plants and dinosaurs thrived in CO2 levels at many times what they currently are.

Anon 1:52pm, sorry mate, if/when the Maori elite take over this Democracy and impose a tribal based government structure, the economy will be at their mercy. Private property, including the farmalnd you talk about, will be GONE, because Maori can easily manufacture "cultural tikanga" (mumbo jumbo) that applies to any land in New Zealand and use that to appropriate that land as "compensation" for Te Triti breaches or simply beacue "we were here firrst". As to climate change, quite a lot of the science is suspect, and humans can adapt to a climate getting colder or hotter by different agricultural methods and growing different plants. For example rice instead of wheat.
It's all about the overhang.
National who are not responsible for their good fortune will win many electorate seats due to the fracturing of the left. so overhang could be massive.

To Anon @1:52 PM the great climate scam is a farce....if it were real, and Al Gore really was right, we would literally all be underwater about 5 years ago....as it is absolutely nothing has changed, except sea level dropping in some places by a couple of millimeters, and rising in others by a few millimeters.
Natural coastal erosion processes, storms causing damage etc...all exactly the same as its always been except for more human idiocy contributing to the damage with things such as forestry slash, or scehduled dredging of river mouths in flood areas not taking place as it should. We also build houses in more places than we used to - its a bit like Australia building entire suburbs in areas that are prone to bush fire and then being surprised when a bush fire appears on the edge of suburbia.
Climate change has done absolutely nothing to our agricultural sector - but over regulation by the great climate scam has done a lot of damage however.
And meanwhile on the other hand - threats to NZ democracy caused by tribal interests while simultaneously being funded by taxpayers....very very very real.
And then to the Ponzi scheme you speak of - humans have bought and sold property in every economy where property rights have been respected - and surprise surprise all of those places are amongst the wealthiest nations on the planet - in terms of cash in their pockets and their standard of living.
These are the things that prosperity is made of - whether you believe in it or not.
So - listen to the warnings of Rick, he's right....not right wing, just right.
