NZ colonized by the French would be a very different county today. No Treaty hysteria.
There is a great deal of this cancel culture going on . Maori were supposed to have been living in an idyllic state before Europeans came - no cannabalisn , no infanticide , no slavery , no mass slaughter on the Chatham Is, no warfare , no subjugation of women. Just a South Pacific paradise of love and peace .

I am close to abandoning the search for truth in the steam-roller approach of the media to any or all attempt to face facts and who publish only disinformation, fabrication and blatant lies in order to strengthen the dominance a minor proportion of our population has on the rest of us. Most Maori are included in "the rest of us." The sinister power of the iwi is aided by"fellow-travellers" too blind to see the truth or in the game for personal gain.
It is heartening to see the truth uncovered by so many who keep struggling against the stranglehold enjoyed by the deluded media and I guess one can only hope truth will percolate through in time.
