Cam Slater: Viv Beck Capitulates Three Weeks Too Late

The problem with politics is that it attracts far too many narcissists. Their hangers-on are also narcissistic personalities and so, as a consequence, they all believe their own bull-pucky and labour on under the delusion that they can walk on water and do great feats. Viv Beck is one such narcissist and yesterday her campaign came to an end. Sadly for beleaguered Auckland ratepayers, it was three weeks too late.

Auckland mayoral candidate Viv Beck has pulled out of the race today, abruptly abandoning a bid that has been dogged by questions over campaign finances.
