Meanwhile one of Jacinda's propaganda machines, the NZ media, have been running a free PR campaign for our teflon coated former PM ahead of the decision for Secretary General, like its a fait accompli, which is probably far from the truth. Still it has got me shuddering at the thought of her presiding over this woke, terrorist supporting organisation.
Fortunately, apart from her woke gibberish, she has only got a limited first language with no second language. As we know that was a major impediment for Helen Clark who refused to learn a second language, but was more of a realistic option, although her dour, humourless personality definitely counted against her.
I don't think President Trump (or Waltz) could imagine anything worse than this vacuous DEI zealot (and failed NZ leader) getting the top job with nothing more than a thin veneer of charm to cover her complete lack of common sense and real world knowledge.
As Ardern peddles her wares on UK radio and TV, I am hopeful that Mike Waltz will move heaven and earth to prevent this unwise decision being made.
Or failing that threaten to remove billions more in US funding.
Bribery and corruption are normally the domain of the Democrats, but what's good for the goose...........
Money talks.
Every good Democrat knows that.

Secretary General? U jest.
That is good news. Resolutions such as UNDRIP need to have the backing of citizens of the countries involved, not signed behind closed doors. Climate change agreements likewise. Otherwise all countries are being run by one agency with their own agenda and goals. I don't think Ardern has the intellectual capacity for a high powered position in the UN.
Janine, you are too kind.
But, but.. the Queen phoned her. lol

1. Trump will be president during the UN/SG campaign and elections and he has instructed Mike Waltz to institute financial/managerial reform at the UN. Hard to see Ardern as a frontrunner in this context.
2.UNDRIP: much more dangerous is action on this Declaration if the Left wins in 2026.
Legislation covering private property rights (along the lines of the Canadian/British Columbia law) could be voted and operational very fast.
NZers will deeply regret that they did not pressure Luxon for a binding referendum on democracy - the price of the apathy will be high.
Hi ihcpcoro....I am mindful of the rules here....I am not sure whether "airhead" is acceptable.
Please please put the failed bird brained Ardern into the UN. she will be right at home amongst other failed far left losers....and aid to its destruction. Unfortunately due to it becoming such a place, the vast majority of people realize it's now not performing as it was designed to do so, much like the WHO- Also full of far left radicals.
DEFUNFD. Simple. The Arderns and other far left loonies will cease to exist then.
Her ardernt followers make it easy to see why dodgy car dealers still find plenty of happy customers.
A gushing letter to the editor in today's Listener (totally stuffed also, left, and woke under the current editor - ironically Jane Clifton as their new editor may well right the ship) may result in my decades long subscription at risk of being cancelled. 'She was our saviour' etc etc. There's one born every minute, in NZ in particular.
Like most Kiwis,I used to blindly trust. Her highness screwed that for all time. I no longer trust any institution. You have to tip your hat - her demolition achievements were stratospheres above her (extremely generous) pay scale.
Enjoy your comments Janine. Keep up with the kicking of the pricks.
Ardern running the UN? What a terrifying thought. But then maybe this could lead, rapidly, to its total demise. So there might be some benefits after all.
Does te lingo count as a second language? Knowing that woman she will try that on with them, mutter some mumbo jumbo to win them over..
I don't know why Waltz keeps dancing around the issue. He's just another Trump sycophant who buys into the paranoia that the US, sorry the Trump, knows best. Lack of US jurisdiction to "reform" the UN is of course irrelevant. But why stop pretending? The UN is a threat to national security, or at least Trump's security, and that adds up to the same thing. Action is needed now before the mid-terms. So, here's Waltz' real agenda:
Effective immediately -
1. Cease all US contributions to the UN and the remaining agencies the US has not already reneged on.
2. Boycott all proceedings of the General Assembly and Security Council.
3. Evict the UN from its New York headquarters.
4. Cancel the diplomatic immunity of delegates and cancel their visas.
5, Sell the New York site to a property developer for conversion to a casino and conference centre. (There will of course only be one bidder).
Done properly, that will save an awful lot of US taxpayer money which can then usefully be spent invading Venezuela and blowing up fishing boats in the interests of world peace. That New York site has to be worth a packet, so they may even turn a profit.
Sound far fetched? If you think so you clearly haven't been paying attention to the precedents already set on the international stage by this unhinged and incoherent President. It would of course be hugely entertaining if it wasn't so sad and pathetic.
Keep on kicking against the pricks I meant - J. Cash.
While Trump may get the media attention, many countries - amongst those which do pay their dues - are pushing for major UN managerial /financial reform. Hence the UN80 initiative.
I think most Secretary Generals have spoken English and at least two other major world languages.
The protocol is English or French and 1 other of the 6 official languages ( E, F, Spanish, Russian ,Chinese, Arabic). Actually Helen Clark acquired basic Spanish which is not difficult to do.
