The news that a male student from Oman identifying as trans was able to access New Zealand funding raises serious questions about our immigration policies in such cases.
The Otago University student came here on a scholarship to study commerce from his home country. That scholarship is worth $340,000 to the student and, by implication, also New Zealand.
