Matua Kahurangi: From newsreader to racist
Labels: Julius Malema, Matua Kahurangi, Oriini Kaipara, Racist demagogue, Red beret, South African flag emblem, Te Pati MaoriOriini Kaipara dresses as Julius Malema, who publicly chants to kill white people
If you’ve been unfortunate enough to scroll through X this week, you’ll no doubt have seen the bizarre spectacle of Te Pāti Māori candidate for Tāmaki Makaurau, Oriini Kaipara, and her choice of costume. I say costume, because that’s what it was. Not professional attire, not a statement of seriousness – but a costume designed to shock, divide, and align herself with some of the ugliest politics on the planet.

Matua Kahurangi: Te Pāti Māori cares more about Palestinians than Kiwi kids
Labels: Abuse & neglect of Māori children, Matua Kahurangi, Te Pati MaoriYou’ve probably heard me voice this frustration before, but it still doesn’t make sense. Why is Debbie Ngawera-Packer so focused on the plight of children in Gaza while remaining silent on the suffering of children here in New Zealand? Especially tamariki Māori whom she claims to represent.

From reporting to rallying cry
RNZ Māori news journalist Layla Bailey-McDowell reported that Ngāti Tukorehe’s flags were taken down in what the iwi described as a blatant and violent racist attack and an act of terrorism.

Centrist: MMP’s weird rule could hand an extra seat to Labour
Labels: Auckland by-election, Centrist, George Dansey, MMP, Peeni Henare, Te Pati MaoriA by-election in Tāmaki Makaurau could lead to Labour gaining an extra seat in Parliament, not by winning more votes, but because of a strange rule in New Zealand’s MMP system.

Insights From Social Media
Labels: Financial returns, Insights From Social Media, Steven Mark Gaskell, Te Pati MaoriWhy Has Te Pāti Māori Still Not Filed Their Financial Returns? - Steven Mark Gaskell
Is it incompetence, corruption, or just political arrogance?
As of mid-July 2025, Te Pāti Māori has still not filed their financial returns a legal requirement under electoral law. Every other party has. So why the delay?
Here are 7 possible reasons they’re hiding from the public:
David Farrar: Disinformation from Te Pati Maori
Labels: David Farrar, Foreshore & Seabed, Marine and Coastal Area Act, Te Pati MaoriTe Pati Maori in a burp of disinformation declared Eric Crampton as the policy mind between the Foreshore & Seabed law and Marine and Coastal Area law. Of course once again the media largely ignore the fact they just tell blatant lies.
David Farrar: The scofflaws are at it again
Labels: Audited financial statements, David Farrar, Te Pati MaoriThe Herald reports:
Te Pāti Māori has again failed to file its audited financial statements on time, despite being formally warned by police last year.
It’s also yet to provide the Electoral Commission with an audit report for last year’s financial statement.

Insights From Social Media
Labels: Electoral Act 1993, Financial Accounts, Insights From Social Media, Te Pati MaoriWhat can be done? - Steven Mark Gaskell
Te Pati Maori have for the second year in a row , not filled Financial Accounts for its Party.
Under the Electoral Act 1993, registered political parties must file audited financial statements by 30 June each year, and within 15 working days (about mid‑July) to avoid offence .

Matua Kahurangi: Te Pāti Māori: Too busy crying over Gaza to care about murdered Māori kids
Labels: Greta Thunberg, Israeli navy, Maori children, Matua Kahurangi, Te Pati MaoriWhen Te Pāti Māori co-leaders Debbie Ngarewa-Packer and Rawiri Waititi were suspended from Parliament for 21 days last week, I was looking forward to the break. A full three weeks without the two scribble-faced co-offenders staging another headline-grabbing tantrum sounded like bliss. Unfortunately, the New Zealand media just couldn’t help themselves. Once again, these two were centre stage, this time inserting themselves into an international incident like they’re running the United Nations.

Tui Vaeau: The Perils of Cultural Tokenism - A Critical Examination of Recent Māori-Centric Initiatives
Labels: Aotearoa Music Awards, Entrenching division, identity politics, King's Birthday Honours, Te Matatini and Kapa Haka, Te Pati Maori, Tui VaeauWhy New Zealand’s Obsession with Identity Politics Threatens True National Unity and Meritocracy
In recent times, New Zealand has witnessed a surge in initiatives aimed at promoting Māori culture and recognition. While the intent to honour and integrate Māori heritage is commendable, the execution of these initiatives often borders on tokenism, potentially undermining the very objectives they seek to achieve
Matua Kahurangi: Toitū Te Tiriti
Labels: Aotearoa Music Awards, Chris Bishop, Matua Kahurangi, Stan Walker, Te Pati Maori, Toitū Te TiritiThe trojan horse for Te Pāti Māori’s political agenda
I had no intention of wasting time on the Aotearoa Music Awards. These shows have become nothing more than a woke circus, constantly pushing woke bullsh*t instead of celebrating actual musical talent. When Minister Chris Bishop called Stan Walker’s performance “a load of crap,” the reaction on my X timeline was impossible to ignore. So I watched the video for myself.
And you know what? Bishop was right. It was a load of crap.

Tui Vaeau: Te Pati Maori's Ethnic Power Play - The Poison at Parliament's Heart
Labels: Te Pati Maori, Tui VaeauNew Zealand will either stand for one law for all or it will fall, piece by piece, to the tyranny of tribalism.
Let us put an end to the national self-delusion: Te Pati Maori is not a political party in the conventional sense. It is an ethno-nationalist grievance syndicate, masquerading as a parliamentary movement while relentlessly undermining the very democratic institution it inhabits. Its modus operandi? Identity extortion, racial romanticism and ritualised victimhood, all while cloaked in cloacal cultural theatre.

Dr Michael Bassett: Te Partly Maori vs Commensense
Labels: Dr Michael Bassett, Hana-Rawhiti Maipi Clarke, Te Pati Maori, Treaty principles, Young Maori leave schools in an unemployable stateThese days, when reading statements from Te Partly Maori it’s often hard to trust one’s eyesight. A few days ago, Hana-Rawhiti Maipi Clarke who faces suspension from the House for participating in the haka against David Seymour in opposition to his Treaty Principles Bill, was reported to be proposing legislation that would require MPs to learn about the Treaty and uphold its principles. What’s that again? Uphold its principles? She had a chance earlier in the year, but she ripped up her fellow Maori Seymour’s Bill rather than contribute to the debate, or make submissions on it. But TPM dances to its own music, and only its own, it seems. Why won’t she tell us what she has been reading that led her to disagree with Seymour? And, why won’t she and her colleagues engage in activities that really could improve Maori lives?

Insights From Social Media
Labels: Abolish Maori seats, Insights From Social Media, Julia du Fresne, referendum, Te Pati MaoriPosting on the Voters’ Collective FB Group, Julia du Fresne makes an excellent and compelling case for the Coalition Parties to man up, gird their loins and shoulder the burden of calling a referendum on the immediate abolition of the racist, anti-democratic, unfair, corrupt Maori sests in Parliament -we know it would pass with a massive majority, its s No-brainer ‘

Matua Kahurangi: Te Pāti Māori’s vile racism stains parliament once again
Labels: Mariameno Kapa-Kingi, Matua Kahurangi, racism, Simon Court, Te Pati MaoriIn a shaameful (sic) outburst in Parliament today, Te Pāti Māori MP Mariameno Kapa-Kingi spewed more anti-Pākehā venom, snarling at Pākehā MPs, “And you’re welcome that you get to live here at all.” The implication? They’re mere guests in New Zealand, tolerated only by her grace. This is raw, unfiltered racism on full display.

Dr Don Brash: The Nail in the Coffin for Maori Seats
Labels: Dr Don Brash, Maori seats, Te Pati MaoriI don't know about you, but I have had a gutsful of the disrespect and disdain Te Pāti Māori show for our Parliament and for all of us.
With their hateful rhetoric and disruptive antics they have demonstrated that Māori seats have become the home of the most extreme race activists.
Te Pāti Māori have put the final nail in the coffin of Māori seats.
