Lushington D. Brady: And Another One Bites the Dust

Popular revolt brings down globalist Dutch government

Although the mainstream media have done their best to ignore them, the farmer protests in the Netherlands never went away. As reported on the BFD, the party formed by the protesters from both farm and city, the Farmer Citizen Movement or BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB), won a slew of seats in provincial elections just a few months ago.

The protests were sparked by the government of Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s plans to seize farmland and force farmers to drastically de-stock, in order to meet its “Net Zero” goals. At its most extreme, the policy would have reduced some farmers to just two cows per paddock. The popular revolt dovetailed with rising anger at the EU’s open border policies.

Now, the turmoil sweeping Dutch politics has unseated the globalist, Climate Cultist Rutte government, months out from a general election. Rutte is personally the first casualty.

The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, revealed that he will leave politics after the general elections in his country, motivated by the resignation of his coalition government […]

The fourth coalition government led by Rutte resigned last Friday after disagreements and lack of agreement on measures to control migration

As is standard with the lying mainstream media, “migration” really means “mass, illegal immigration”: the flood into Europe of millions of mostly young, single men from the Middle East and North Africa.

After 18 months in power, the Dutch four-party coalition government collapsed over bitter migration policy disputes.

For months, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte tried to negotiate a package of measures to reduce the flow of new migrants arriving in the Netherlands.

In reality, Rutte’s “tough measures” amounted to little more than a band-aid on a running sore.

His proposals included creating two classes of asylum — a temporary one for people fleeing conflicts and a permanent one for people escaping persecution.

He also planned to reduce the number of family members allowed to join asylum seekers inside the country, seeking to make families wait two years before they could reunite.

As first the Howard, then the Abbott government in Australia so ably demonstrated, the only way to stop the flood of country-shopping economic migrants posing as “asylum seekers” is to shut the borders tight and turn them back.

According to government statistics, asylum applications in the Netherlands jumped by a third last year to over 46,000. They are expected to increase to more than 70,000 this year — topping the previous high from 2015.

Immigration has been a hot issue across the European Union for years and was the final stumbling block that brought down Rutte’s government on Friday night […]

Now it is likely to dominate campaigning for an election months away.

Not least because, according to Party for Freedom’s Geert Wilders, the Rutte government planned to seize farmland cleared of livestock, supposedly because of climate change, and turn it instead into housing for illegal immigrants. Wilders leaked a letter, apparently detailing plans for farmland in the Noordoostpolder municipality. The letter says that “The nitrogen space in the Noordoostpolder was created when the government bought an agricultural company in the Noordoospolder. The government wants to realize an application centre for asylum seekers at the location of the agricultural enterprise.”

Here’s the proof. It’s just there. The farmer has to leave because they want to build an application center for asylum seekers on his land.

They are destroying the Netherlands completely. Our farmers gone, the fortune seekers in. It’s funny that people are angry.

Wilders is a veteran voice opposing mass immigration and the Islamicisation of the Netherlands. A Pakistani illegal plotted in 2018 to assassinate Wilders over a Muhammad cartoon contest.

The election is likely to be a massive boost to the BBB as well.

The fall of the government comes just months after a new, populist pro-farmer party, the Farmers Citizens Movement, known by its Dutch acronym BBB, shocked the political establishment by winning provincial elections. The party is already the largest bloc in the Dutch Senate and will be a serious threat to Rutte’s VVD.

The BBB’s leader, Caroline van der Plas, said her party would dust off their campaign posters from the provincial vote and go again.

“The campaign has begun!” Van der Plas said in a tweet that showed her party’s supporters hanging flags and banners from lamp posts.

Get ready for shrieking headlines from the legacy media about “far-right populism!”
