JC: We Live In an Unhinged World

Today’s world is not only unhinged but is becoming increasingly dangerous. It is now not uncommon to hear from some in high places that ‘We are closer to World War III than we have ever been before.’ There are many reasons for this: political ideology, political leadership, terrorism, foreign aggression, the media and the breakdown of society, which seems a good place to start.

Society is now more fractured than ever. There are societal causes that have risen to prominence that were not of concern decades ago. These causes have been driven by pressure groups. However well-meaning the people promoting them think they are, the truth is they are undermining the stability of a society that was originally designed to be just that – stable.

The ‘norms’ of society risk being overtaken by activities that the majority of people don’t regard as normal, but those promoting them think they should be. Let’s take DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusion). On the face of it this looks like a highly commendable project but while it might look good in theory it has downfalls when put into practice.

Diversity recognises and values the unique attributes which experiences and backgrounds bring to a group or organisation. Equity aims for fairness in outcomes, recognising not everyone starts from the same place. Inclusion is cultivating an environment where every individual feels supported, respected and that they belong. What could possibly go wrong?

One of the results of applying these principles is the people being hired are not proficient at doing the work they are hired for. In America this has extended into the area of air traffic controllers. The long-accepted theory of the ‘best person for the job’ was replaced with a priority based on colour, race, sex and gender (some would have you believe there are more than two of the latter).

Many of us regard this as woke nonsense, which it is, and companies have suffered because of it. Bud Light used a TikTok ‘transgender woman’ in a marketing campaign and, despite trying to address their mistake, their market share continues to decline. Another well-known American company to feel the public wrath for their DEI policies under a woke CEO was Cracker Barrel, whose shares dropped six per cent.

Transgenderism is another matter in question that is regarded by most as breaking society’s norms. We have to accept that, on this topic, what adults do with their lives is up to them. Where it becomes a problem is when children are exposed to it, and indeed forced into it, particularly in a school setting. Instruction at an early age on such a subject has the potential to lead to damaging outcomes.

Law and order is also a contributing factor in the disruption of a normal society. The judiciary has some responsibility in this regard as in today’s world we continue to see sentences handed down that do not appear to fit the crime. Judges, along with the political left, seem to prefer a woke system when it comes to dealing with these matters. Family violence has become more prevalent among certain sections of society and the ability for those involved to cover for their crimes needs addressing.

Race is another society disruptor where the minority, who claim to be ‘first settlers’, try to achieve dominance over the majority. This is a situation which, unless addressed by political leadership in the form of legislation, will continue to fester. Democracy cannot be interfered with in this way and the ability for society to function as ‘one people’ is paramount.

Excessive government control is also a negative to how we want to live as a society. We need government as much as possible out of our lives, giving us the freedom to live as we choose. The Covid years are a good example, where society was basically destroyed by a bunch of people: politicians, health professionals and academics who decided that overrule was the way to go.

In many ways we have reached a point in society where a ‘back to basics’ approach is required. Most of what I have mentioned above cannot be entirely eliminated from society but it has been given a prominence, aided and abetted by a complicit media, far greater than is deserved. These types of issues do not contribute to the makings of a well-structured society; they are designed to make the normal society as we know it appear outdated. There is still a place for the Ten Commandments in all our lives.

In future posts I will explore other factors contributing to an unhinged world.

Good leadership in the States recently cut through these fabricated social experiments gaining overwhelming public support. Only those that continue to poison society with their liberal hang ups have had their feelings hurt.

The negative influences described did not arise from nowhere. They have been carefully nurtured as part of a very much broader plan to damage and ultimately destroy the civilisation that was so dearly won over the past few centuries. One may only hope that the morons enabling this live long enough to experience the end results.
