The Herald reports:
Act leader David Seymour is condemning an “immature” challenge to a charity fight from prominent Treaty activist Eru Kapa-Kingi.
In a video posted to social media yesterday, Kapa-Kingi took exception to Seymour calling his mother, Te Pāti Māori MP Mariameno Kapa-Kingi, an “idiot” during the House’s debate on the Regulatory Standards Bill last week.
“David Seymour crossed a line when he attacked my mum in Parliament. This just got personal,” Kapa-Kingi said.
He said Seymour was clearly unaware of the rule that should someone talk “smack” about a person’s mother, “then you’re bound to get slapped up”. …
Kapa-Kingi, also a Professional Teaching Fellow with the University of Auckland, then raised the possibility of a “charity fight” between the pair, in which he promised to devote all funds to pro-Treaty initiatives, should he win.
Kapa-Kingi threatens violence against Seymour, because he called another MP an idiot in the House. He is or was a Vice-President of Te Pati Maori, was on their payroll, and was a candidate for them at the last election.
A party of threatened violence and extremism.

ACT party members need to be careful about descending into the type of language use that TPM and the Greens engage in. At the same time, Seymour was clearly correct.
Inciting violence to resolved perceived injustices is the Māori way. This meathead is employed by Auckland university. Now it’s clear why the university tried to introduce a compulsory course on all things Māori for attendees. How many threats did he make to get this nonsense across the line? New Zealand is in trouble!
Agree - ACT MPs will be taunted and goaded every inch of the way till 2026 elections to discredit them with voters.
This requires an exceptional level of self-control to avoid the conflict that is intended - whereupon TPM will play the victim.
TPM and its supporters are now ready for unrest/violence - whether provoked or not. It is part of their plan as they move towards tribal rule.
The "strangeness" or is it the "oddity", that is The NZ House of Representatives, that -
_ TPM can and did rise to conduct a Haka (me thinks pre-meditated prior to the said sitting of Parliament and the subject that was to be raised and debated), which was specifically aimed at the ACT Party, who sat through the " episode" (so did Gerry B) without rising to respond to the ' intimidation of said actions ';
BUT
- that David Seymour, stood within Parliament and " made a vocal statemen" toward another MP (which in most sittings is a
normal action) and is then 'intimidated' by an Academic who has stated that " said statement was .."? - and is oblivious to the workings of Parliament - and that " such statements (unless corrected by The Speaker)- who would seek a withdrawal of said/ or any such statements by the Member speaking, is a normal practice". Just watch Winny P & Shane Jones, you do not hear (said) Academic "raising his voice over their verbal finger pointing at TPM"!
Or is said Academic wanting The NZ Parliament to be run in a manner that allows decorum and address toward the " Matter at Hand, to be pushed to one side and said debates become a free for all with intimidating verbal antagonism and Haka added to suppress oppositions"?
Maybe the Academic needs to sit and watch the British Parliament in action - and the " verbal statements that are put to the Member speaking ", to which the Speaker (with great physical agility) is quick to rise to His feet and ensure that decorum in The House will not be sullied.
Mind you there are 600 MPS at anyone time within The House at Westminster, when it sits.
And from what we hear TPM " turns up when it suits them".
Actually this will come back to haunt the maori party (as most of their behavior seems to) please name one other ethnicity in this country that has not had a gutsful of maori.
This is great, but unfortunately a real issue for the good decent maori out there that get tarnished by the tpm brush.
As for the tpm loser you mention in this article, he will get karma eventually.
