DTNZ: Israel launches new strikes on Rafah citing ceasefire violations

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have launched large-scale airstrikes in Rafah, southern Gaza, following what they claim were ceasefire breaches by Hamas.

According to the IDF, militants fired an anti-tank missile and opened fire on Israeli troops operating in the area, prompting retaliatory strikes on more than 20 suspected “terror targets,” including tunnel shafts and military structures.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered firm action, while Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that Hamas would “pay a heavy price” for any further violations. Gaza’s Health Ministry reported at least eight deaths in the past 24 hours. Hamas denied involvement in the Rafah attacks, insisting it remains committed to the ceasefire and accusing Israel of breaking the truce.

The renewed violence comes days after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement under which Hamas released the last Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. Both sides have since accused each other of failing to uphold the terms of the fragile truce.

Why don't I believe the British/Rothschild's Zionist Settler Colonies side of the story?

Anonymous 10.24 a.m. your slip is showing, Sticks and stones eh? You don't want to believe it is why. A bit like the idiom "Live Long and Prosper" lionised by (Jewish) Leonard Nemoy is actually a very old Jewish saying, usurped by his character in Star Trek. You dont have to believe it of course.
Now let's see...USA has colonised itself, and oh - marched into Honolulu/Hawaii. And literally "bought" Alaska from Russia. Canada likewise has colonised the indigenous population and decimated their culture. England...dont get me started. New Zealand and Australia are colonised, for better and for worse. I laugh like a drain at these "protesters" who are themselves standing on someone else's land. Russia is again on the march (but not a peep from protesters),China (marched into Tibet and Mongolia), Portugal, France (what are they still doing in Noumea? Tahiti?) The list goes on.
The Traditional Jewish homeland is Israel (er, the name Jew comes from...Judah!) You'd better believe it!
The ancient homeland of the Jewish tribes is chocker full of ancient ruins, artefacts, place names, such as Samaria and Judea, Bethlehem (Beit Lechem, Place of Bread) and Jerusalem itself was built by King David and his son Solomon. You can't scratch the ground without finding evidence of Jewish occupancy into pre-Roman times.
Zionism is alive and well, and is a legitimate and authentic habitation for the Jewish nation. Hebrew is the national language and Israeli culture and festivals is thriving.
As for "Palestine", (a Roman nomenclature back in the day for "Philistine"), lies and propaganda will never dislodge Israelis from their Eternal Home. Violence begets violence, and yes, it works both ways. Now Hamas is slughtering other gangs in Gaza. Not a peep from proetesters. Anti-Semitism is a foul stink on our streets and in our media, but Jews have been through worse, and "not being believed" is the least of their worries. Shame on New Zealand that nobody utters a peep about our babies being slaughtered, damaged and admitted to hospital with "non-accidental injuries." Israel could fit into Northland by the way. Am Yisrael Chai!

Ah, but what is 'legitimate'?
The 1947 UN plan for the new nation's borders was not implemented. The borders following the 1948-9 war became the 'de facto' borders of the State of Israel. But Zionism demands much more - the lands of the Kingdoms of Israel and Judea in their heyday. The author of this master plan was Theodor Herzl in the late 19thC, leading to the first World Zionist Congress in 1897.
Zionism has no basis in international law - quite on the contrary, it flies in the face of international law. As do those illegal settlements which even the International Court of Justice has declared to be just that.
That the writer doesn't care about international law transpires from his/her use of the term 'Eternal Home' (with caps) which indicates that his/her rationale is religious (specifically Judaic) which supposedly transcends international law.
