By not legislating to conclusively put a permanent stop to this and associated racist constitutional policies, the Prime Minister and the coalition are complicit in furthering these racist developments.
They had the opportunity to do so with the TPB and they chose not to take it.
Out Parliament is not fit for purpose.

The thing National dont seem to understand is that the longer they ignore this problem the more entrenched and far reaching it becomes. It is much harder to fix now than it would have been 5 years ago. Ignoring a problem does not make it go away.
Anonymous 2:21 is spot on. The concept can be taken further. When on chooses to ignore or condone a behaviour one is actually endorsing said behaviour. A behaviour that needs to be changed must be challenged. It is unfortunate the National, and to a lesser degree, their partners have chosen the route of appeasement. This sends the message of acceptance.

As we've seen here in NZ, appeasement never works, and most especially not in the face of aggressive revanchism. The Natz could look back at the useful example of Chamberlain, just before WW2. But clearly, they have not.
