How many people are on your list?

 

I have four on mine. 

 

Four vibrant older New Zealanders with valuable years to live now gone in a flurry of falling bodies and catastrophic cancers.

  

Gone too, for now, the hearts and minds of their distraught families left behind.

Helen Egmont: Do You, Too, Sometimes Wonder?

To wonder: to be curious or in doubt about.

Stuff news ran an article on 8 June entitled “Classes cancelled: Staff absences ‘through the roof’ at schools due to illness surge.”

In it, Principal Liz Weir said in part “if you’ve got 240 kids away you don’t need your full complement of teachers. This term the kids are back but it’s the teachers that are getting sick really regularly.”

Cashmere High School Principal Joe Eccleton commented that “It’s not ideal but when you have such large staff absences it’s almost impossible to keep the school going.  A couple of Fridays ago we had 29 staff away on the Friday, only seven with Covid, so there’s a whole range of other illnesses that are around the school community at the moment”

Do you, too, wonder why so many teachers are falling ill?

We know all teachers are at least triple covid vaccinated.

Helen Egmont: Everyone Knows

Everyone knows:

• We must be open to debate on important issues
• If we do not debate then we will be unaware of potential issues.
• Not questioning rules has had huge negative consequences all throughout history
• We are vulnerable to influence and must have checks and balances in place at all levels of society

It is important that New Zealanders understand that the covid vaccine still being used here is now significantly “out of date”. The covid variant it worked best against is long gone. And it is never coming back.

Helen Egmont: Shots in the Dark - Myocarditis, Mandates, Boosters and Babies

The Pfizer genetic vaccine is being forced onto New Zealanders, but many questions remain about the wisdom of doing this.

In particular, it is still experimental – the vaccine trial will not be completed unto 2024 – and many of the side effects are particularly disturbing, especially since the long term consequences are unknown.

The pressure the government is putting on people to force them into vaccination with the “No jab, No job” threat is completely unacceptable - as Michael Kowalik says in his article on the ethical case for vaccine refusal, published on 26 Feb 2021in the BMJ Journal of Medical Ethics:

“There is neither a moral obligation to vaccinate nor a sound ethical basis to mandate vaccination under any circumstances, even for hypothetical vaccines that are medically risk free.  Agent autonomy with respect to self-constitution has absolute normative priority over reduction or elimination of the associated risks to life.  In practical terms, mandatory vaccination amounts to discrimination against healthy, innate biological characteristics, which goes against the established ethical norms and is also defeasible a priori.
