And so we’ve had the news items, the coverage of meetings with staff, and finally the announcement about where to next. Compare the coverage to any other company or government department decreasing personnel numbers at the moment and you get the idea.

JC: You Wouldn’t Read About It
Labels: JC, Stuff / Newshub dealIf anyone thinks Stuff producing the 6pm news bulletin on Three is the answer to viewers’ prayers they are dreaming. This is a marriage made in heaven if you want a continuation of the very reasons Newshub finds itself in the position it is in. If you were one hoping for a change of direction, by which viewing the news would be a more positive experience, then this is more likely to be a marriage made in hell. Imagine Tova O’Brien on our screens at dinner time. Regurgitation of the evening meal is a distinct possibility.

Mike's Minute: Questions around the TV3/Stuff deal

Do Stuff know how to make television? How many people will they actually hire as opposed to re-purposing the staff they already have? Does the programme draw an audience? Will it look anything like what we are used to?
Most importantly, does it solve a problem for TV, the media, and Warner Bros. Discovery?
