Lushington D. Brady: Newsflash - Fox Was Always Woke

With the forced departure of its undisputed star, Tucker Carlson, Fox News has seen a dramatic slide in its ratings. For the first time in years, MSNBC narrowly pipped Fox in viewer numbers. Worse for the network, many of its once diehard viewers are accusing it of that worst of corporate sins: going woke.

And they’re right.

But it’s not a sudden, post-Carlson shift. In fact, Carlson was long an outlier in a corporate culture that aped the woke rubrics of “diversity, equity and inclusion” for years in its back-office. Behind the scenes, Fox was as drunk on wokeness as MSNBC and CNN.

A shocking new report alleges that not only is Fox News headquarters woke and radically pro trans ideology, but that producers had been warned to avoid criticism of Dylan Mulvaney.

Mulvaney is, of course, the talent-free void whose only claim to fame is successfully manipulating social media algorithms by jumping on the bandwagon du jour, ‘transgenderism’.

But the rot at Fox goes much deeper. It’s all a stunning testament to the success of the Long March left, really, who’ve so captured the institutions that even a supposed right-wing behemoth like Fox grovels to its inquisitors.

Fox is obsessed with its pro-LGBTQ score doled out by trans lobbyist not-for-profit the Human Rights Campaign, which went hard trans after the legalization of gay marriage in 2015. Fox touts that score in employee trainings, gives employees the option to use preferred pronouns and to transition at work, making others comply with the new speech requirements that come with it.

Women’s bathrooms at Fox are open to men who identify as women, as the handbook reads that employees “may access the restroom corresponding to their gender identity”. They also help employees come up with a workplace “gender transition plan”, according to a 2021 company handbook shared with The Daily Signal.

In part, Fox can hardly be blamed. It’s the price of remaining in business once the Long March left took over the Democrats and by extension the law-making apparatus. If Fox and other news outlets seemed to be indulging the delusions of the trans lobby over pronouns etc, it’s because they have to. By law.

The revelations comes amid conservative consternation at Fox Digital’s use of activist language like “gender affirming care” in stories on its website, as well as the site’s consistent use of female pronouns for biological males like TikTok celebrity Dylan Mulvaney and swimmer Lia Thomas (formerly known as Will Thomas).

Because so-called ‘misgendering’ is now literally a crime in states like Fox’s home in New York.

But that doesn’t mean they have to go all the way…

Fox also drew strong backlash for a June 2022 on-air segment praising a child’s gender transition as an “inspiration to others”. That segment briefly depicted California state Sen. Scott Weiner, a far-left Democrat who led the move to soften sex offender registry requirements for sodomy with minors, and highlighted the activist claim that a child might commit suicide if he or she is not permitted to transition.

“They want you to think it’s this place that supports traditionally conservative values,” a former producer for “Tucker Carlson Tonight” told The Daily Signal. “But in reality, they’re pushing this nonsense behind the scenes” […]

“Fox News devotes hours of programming to attacking ‘woke companies’, but ironically Fox is as woke as the rest of them,” another former Fox News employee told The Daily Signal, emphasizing that Fox viewers would be “astonished to find out what the company is like” […]

“Fox’s viewers think that Fox shares their values,” [The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh] said. “And it’s very clear that that’s just not the case. Gender ideology is as far radical Left as you can possibly go. They have embraced radical leftism in its most extreme form.”

“There’s no daylight at all between Fox News and MSNBC when it comes to gender,” Walsh added. “And I think that’s something that Fox’s viewers need to know. … If it were up to me, Fox would get the Bud Light treatment.”

Rest assured, though, BFD readers: your humble correspondent will continue to call a tranny a tranny, and an adult human female a woman.

Lushington describes himself as Punk rock philosopher. Liberalist contrarian. Grumpy old bastard. This article was first published HERE
