Associate Education Minister David Seymour wants cheaper school lunches for students that need it. Q+A asks him how effective the revamped programme could be and whether he will give schools the support they need to deliver it. Meanwhile, the first charter schools are expected to be up and running by Term 1 next year. Seymour says he's taking inspiration from England, where 80% of secondary schools are run under the academy programme, which has many similarities to New Zealand charter schools.

David Seymour is the Leader of ACT and a coaltion partner in the current National government. David is a graduate of Auckland Grammar and the University of Auckland (in Electrical Engineering and Philosophy).
