Has Prime Minister Christopher Luxon just signed the National Party’s death warrant?
According to our unreliable, biased media: “The Prime Minister says he will refuse any demand from the Act Party for a referendum on the Treaty Principles Bill after the next election – even if he needs Act to form a Government.”
With the present mood of the country calling for a referendum on the Treaty Principles Bill (TPB) and Luxon’s utterances above, I now predict a huge swing to David Seymour and ACT, it could be a swing so large that National will no longer be the go to party for sending the looney lefties to the opposition benches, in fact with National’s current pro-Maori ideology they may as well join the lefties.
Mr Luxon, you and your team have let your supporters down, you were voted in to put a stop to Maori preference and restore one law for all and racial equality, which contrary to your blinkered view is the number one concern facing New Zealand today.
Economies seem to fluctuate with or without help, but the Maori takeover is real and here for all time, unless a leader arises with the wherewithal to take race out of all legislation, abolish separatist Maori representation (both local and central) and disestablish the Waitangi Tribunal, more should be done as well but that is a start....
This brings me to Winston Peters who has in the past played the race card which appeals to the golden oldies who have experienced New Zealand prior to 1970s with no racial division, no co-governance, no Maori special privileges and no endless shovelling of cash to the Maori elite, these oldies then voted for Winnie. I sense that Winnie is now miffed since David Seymour has stolen his thunder with an articulate TPB campaign which has struck a chord with the New Zealand voter.
To counter that, Winnie is promoting the removal of the Treaty Principles from SOME legislation SOME time in the future - yes you read that correct. And while New Zealand waits for this to happen the Maori Sovereignty movement rolls on, on and on, in fact is gathering pace like a great brown snowball.
In my opinion, Winnie’s sidekick Shane Jones is another class act at hoodwinking the New Zealand public, he berates the activist Maori shenanigans in parliament which lulls those that oppose the Maori treaty twisting to think that yadda yadda Jones is pulling them into line, all the time Jonesie is shovelling money to the tribes as fast as he can, for all kinds of dubious projects, flashing up Maraes is an example when in fact these tribal racketeers should be using their own money (the benefits from questionable claim settlements).
Last week’s Ratana circus is classic example of political BS, both sides of the ‘debate’ stand up in front of the loudspeaker and vent their spleen, mortal enemies one would think, but no, when the sideshow is over there they are best of buddies scheming for the next taxpayer rort. The New Zealand voter will thank David Seymour at the next election for not to getting involved in this theatrical farce.
Seymour has read the room, Winnie is still promising and Mr Woke Luxon is asleep at the helm.
God save New Zealand

Theatrical farce sums up the state of western democracy as a whole today. Meanwhile, we taxpayer clowns pay for the Ratana/TOW yada yadda circus, while our political actors laugh into their beer and pat themselves on the back at the great hoodwinking game being played on the gullible and bewildered.
God save New Zealand from this form of democracy, and please wake up the sleeping
to the Maori Sovereignty movement and/or the Corporate Apartheid Agenda, before its too late.
An excellent summation of our current political state Geoff.
Luxon has declared his opposition to policies that the public have given strong support to.
He has dug his own political grave.
I believe you are right in your opinion that National will not win the next election if Luxon remains at the helm.
Luxon is incapable of reading the room. He is not a politician. He does not have the skill set to be a political leader.
From his speech at Ratana it appears that he will never support the public's desire for change, for a country based on the principle of ''one'.
Luxon declared he was committed to 'Māori progress'.
His closing statement went further - "By creating a more prosperous nation that delivers more, for more people, Māori and non-Māori, all of us carry the hopes of those who came before us, and a light for those who come after us. Let us share that goal".
He appears to be locked into the concept of two peoples, 'them and us', a nation divided by race.
This is not what the majority of New Zealanders want.
I believe that Luxon will not lead National into the next election.
I for one could never give him my support.
Nail .. head, Head .. nail - yep right on it!
There are many eloquent oral submissions taking place regarding ACTs Treaty Principles Bill from both sides of the argument. In a democracy though, we, as individuals all have an equal voice. Some of these submitters come close to our own views, some do not. What all these politicians and others fail to recognise is that they are not there to dictate to the people. That would be called A Dictatorship. New Zealand is still a democracy. Whether you agree with Chris Luxon or not, the democratic way forward is to have a referendum. Nowhere in the world has a dual form of government succeeded.
Absolutely spot on. As one who voted for Act and NZF last time. It will be 2 ticks for Act next time.
Watching Luxon, Peters and Jones performance at the ridiculous Ratana pantomime, there true allegiance to Maori take over, was plain to see.
Entirely with you Geoff. This is going to be interesting. Already such a corrupt - well senseless - exercise on the part of those opposed. It is just embarassing to hear them try to make a case in the face of all reason. I have my suspicions about the 10.000 that suddenly arrived at the eleventh hour, requiring a postponement - all those people suddenly thought for themselves simultaneously? Yeah right!
It shows the fervour of some ACT supporters that they interpret the phrase
"delivers more, for more people, Māori and non-Māori, all of us carry the hopes of those who came before us, and a light for those who come after us. Let us share that goal"
as being pro Maori.
The coalition agreement Luxon signed up to states....
"The Coalition Government's priorities for this term include ending race based policies,"
So. while I agree Luxons stance on the TOW Principals bill is less than ideal, Luxon knows he has to maintakn the centre appeal for the coalition to stay in power.
Luxon is using his coalition partners expertly to push necessary agendas, whilst keeping Labour swing voters in the National fold.
Spot on Janine. The natural end of the TOW bs is a referendum. It will happen.
Luxon may read the tea leaves and move on. Luxon could be rolled and replaced by? ACT could withdraw support and make it impossible for the Government to govern OR a Citizens Referendum be held. There no doubt are other scenarios being worked on.
Luxon is on borrowed time. Watch this space.
....never trust a lawyer...or a 'matua'....or "invest" in marae maintenance...or eat mussels again. Be thankful that that "Humpty Dumpy...Mofo" is candidly woke and insipid. We are now 5:1 Left to right. Dig in and support David and the troops.
