Cam Slater: Key, Joyce and McCully Secret Meetings

The tip line is running hot saying old National warhorses John Key, Steven Joyce and Murray McCully are having secret meetings to discuss the future of National. These meetings are hosted in private, but readers are saying they are seeing the three of them together regularly.

This can only be bad news for Luxon. McCully is as cunning as a sh*t-house rat, Key is wonderful with the polling numbers and Joyce is one of the few genuinely world-class political strategists NZ has ever produced.

They are seeing the numbers in the polls and the gaffes being made by Luxon that make it hard to see him improve his personal numbers even if the economy improves. They know that, just like Simon Bridges’ net favourables were a leading indicator of the National vote, Luxon will pull National down if he doesn’t sort out his performance immediately.

Placing Paula Bennett in the party president’s role will allow McCully, Key and Joyce to work behind the scenes with a loyal colleague who they know will do their bidding.

Trouble is that none of the three cunning "rats" will fare any better when it comes to sorting out the co-governance, racism or Tribunal troughers. They in fact helped facilitate the problems. Are we doomed? Probably!

The best thing would be to have a clean out in the National Party.
Key, Joyce, Mccully, Bennet and co have had their time.Like HC they need to go enjoy life and let some real conservatives rise in the NP.

OK Cam
Spare us the suspense.
Assuming that you are correct and people are already jockeying for position if Luxon is rolled, who do you think the smart money is on to replace him, who is likely to be deputy and will they reverse National’s policy regarding Seymour’s Treaty Principles Bill .
For what it is worth, l believe that support for the Bill in the next Parliament, ensuring it would become law will be the issue the next election will be fought on - irrespective of who leads the National party.
The Nat’s will loose due to a revolt within the party if this policy isn’t replaced with one that totally supports the Bill.
Simple really .

Ii is not just Cam Slater talking of Luxon being rolled. National is no longer the farmer's party. It is Act and to some extent NZF.

Sounds like National are taking lessons from the Democrats by thinking the people are interested in hasbeens. Especially Key who jumped ship rather than face the country he created.

Globalists who have overridden objective truths strategising on kick out one of their own…just more shuffling of the deck chairs on a rapidly sinking ship.

Why vote for Labour lite when you have real thing in all of its racist, biological reality denying & pro big pharma & big business glory!!

No one cares about spineless Luxon & the NP, that’s why they’re down in the polls, & not enough would ever vote Act & NZF.

NZers are determined to create 2 classes of citizens & bankrupt us.

Only option is to insulate ourselves against this stupidity as much as possible & ride this out
