I tweeted that screenshot from Benjamin Doyle’s alt Instagram today because for months people have been trying to get media to ask questions about it.

These are ordinary non-politician people. They’ve asked me before to share it & I believe some of them have shared it before too. This was a last ditch attempt at drawing some attention to seriously concerning behaviour.

I feel gross sharing the image even with the child’s face blurred out. But questions need to be asked of Doyle & the Greens. Unbelievably some people are trying to defend him. They’re saying it was a joke or that it is gay culture (this sickens me because I am gay & I assure you it is not).

Does any one really think that if a Nat/Act/NZF MP had an alt Instagram account called “BibleBeltPussy” with captions like “Pussy Galore” & images of kids with legs spread or kissing the MP, & with the geo tag “Cognitive Dissonance” which happens to be pinned just outside a town called “Cumming” in the USA, that the media wouldn’t have it on the front page?

They’d write nearly as many stories on it as they did on school lunches.

If it is a “joke” it is only slightly better. It is an appalling joke if that is the case. He should be sacked regardless.

I want to make it really clear that I call out safeguarding risks, inappropriate sexual behaviour, & sexual abuse no matter who is doing it. I would really rather not highlight another “rainbow” man acting like a creep. It reflects badly on all of us who are gay.

When the name suppression lifted on Tim Jago I made it clear I think he is scum & that Act could have moved faster to bin him.

I have recently been scrapping with the Woke Right over Andrew Tate because somehow him admitting to count after count of sexual violence & trafficking is not enough to put them off him. I was raised Catholic & boy have I been critical of the Catholic Church. I’ve been unafraid to speak out about Muslim grooming gangs. Neil Gaiman, Harvey Weinstein, R Kelly, P Diddy, Epstein. I call them all out.

Do not suggest to me that I’m singling out Doyle because he is a Green. Remember that people made excuses for all the people I named above. That’s why they get away with it for so long.

So if you defend this indefensible behaviour I’m going to assume you’re just like Jimmy Saville’s enablers. Just like the Catholic Church demonising those who spoke up and moving priests to different parishes.

Someone just ask some bloody questions please? Do your bloody jobs. I’m just a woman with a Twitter account.

If this was a National, Act of NZ First MP it would be a leading news story for days, if not weeks with repeated – and justified – calls for Doyle to be sacked.

That it isn’t helps explain why trust in the media is so low.

Green co-leader Chloe Swarbrick is among the followers, she is probably too worried about the possibility of businesses making profits to bother about child exploitation.

Sexualising children is not a joking matter, and whether or not he thought it was a joke, posting a photo like that is unacceptable and it shouldn’t take a post on Twitter to expose it.
