JC: The Left Are Unfit to Govern

Many of us have been aware over our lifetime that the left are unfit to govern. Considering the events of the past week, one could justifiably add the word manifestly. Nobody with an ounce of common sense would consider them a viable alternative to the current government. No one in their right mind would entertain these out of touch loons being let anywhere near the levers of power. They are a complete disgrace, the lot of them, and, whether they realise it or not, they are consigning themselves to the dustbin of history.

The Green Party appear to think we are like them: sick, twisted and devoid of any semblance of sense. Otherwise why would they stand up and spout the nonsense that Marama Davidson and Chloë Swarbrick spoke at their news conference. What was said was an insult to everyone’s intelligence and it beggars belief they thought their line of reasoning was going to resonate with the majority of the population.

Then along comes Chris Hipkins, who, according to the Herald, was trying to stay out the controversy. Instead he dropped himself right in it. According to the newspaper, he offered a defence of sorts to Benjamin Doyle, saying it was very unfortunate the way the posts had been politicised. Unfortunate for whom, I ask: Doyle, himself or the disgraced left as a whole? The answer is all of them.

He then made the ultimate mistake by having a go at Winston Peters, saying it wasn’t responsible for him to be spending his time on things like this. The bulk of the population is only too glad he did. Without Mr Peters, thanks to the media cover up until that point, we may never have known about this deviant behaviour. What Hipkins needs to realise is that the Greens, once again (and in particular Benjamin Doyle), have just driven another nail into his coffin.

The media, aiding and abetting this tawdry business, are an equal disgrace. It’s no wonder trust in them is at an all-time low and bound to fall lower still. The deliberate inane questions and spin they put on the Doyle fiasco is nothing short of shameful. Just when one thought they couldn’t sink any lower, they prove that indeed they can: there appears to be no upholding of any standards in journalism anymore. They just don’t give a damn about the public whom they rely on for support.

Both the left’s and the media’s reputations are in tatters following Winston’s exposé of the facts. They have shown to the public, once and for all, who they stand for and what principles they uphold. They both deserve to be severely punished for their inexcusable conduct, which is a stain on both their houses. The people now know, without a shadow of a doubt, just how poorly they are served both politically and journalistically.

JC - sadly the non- thinking public will never know or realise just how the Greens have morphed from being a valid eco party, to a bunch of super Marxist people deliberately undermining society, because the MSM is complicit in censoring and not reporting the truth.
Until the MSM is back to normal, the gaslighting of the indoctrinated younger voters that voting Green is voting for a better greener world is the best option will continue.

Bring on the shake up at NZME.

All true. But - "indoctrination" renders " in one's right mind" and " having an ounce of common sense" irrelevant concepts.
The "Big I." treatment targets different values - empathy, delusion, self-aggrandizement, ideological blindness etc . Logic and sound evidence are ignored.
e.g. the fallacy of partnership is brushed aside. This is why the Maorification problem is so daunting . NZ's possible loss of democracy is built of shifting sands and lies.

Exactly!

I would add Luxons mastery in giving Winnie the task of holding the media to account, whilst Luxon courts their favour; demonstrates once again our country is in good hands.

I can't wait for the herald takeover.

We will perhaps start reading the paper again.

From the NZ Parliament website:
"More recently, developments in ethical standards in the United Kingdom, and particularly at Parliament, have been codified in a set of principles of public life. The principles are articulated under headings of selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.....
As the holders of a high public office, members have inescapable duties of conduct. Indeed, the absolute probity of members is essential to the proper operation of our democracy......
From time to time there have been suggestions that the House should adopt a statement setting out a code of conduct or ethical principles it expects its members to follow. A number of Commonwealth legislatures have done this. Except in the case of financial interests, however, the House has not adopted detailed ethical guidelines for its members, taking the view that advice about appropriate behaviour is primarily a matter for induction training and internal party discipline."
I think it's about time NZ followed the example of those other Commonwealth legislatures and tightened up and codified its expectations regarding the behaviour of parliamentarians. I suspect many members of TPM and the Greens would fail any test of decency in this regard. They should not be law-makers.

And no-one raised any concern for the child in the pictures to ensure/confirm that they were ok. So, no reassurances before putting up the defence. The real story must be even more damning for the Watermelons.

I am going to offer what I believe is a bit of lateral thinking to this. Winston has blown the whistle on many things in his time, the wine box papers, etc. and now Doyle. The veracity of what he has revealed has from what I can glean turned out to be intact. In other words, he thinks before he opens his trap. Yet I've heard many people claim over time that he is a liar. Well, the proof of the pudding as they say is in the eating. I suspect a bit of indigestion is heading the way of the Greens and hopefully the Tea Party miscreants as well could be in for a wee bit of karma.
