The Liz Gunn prosecution was scandalously corrupt and has been exposed as such by High Court judge Justice Peters.
The initial prosecution was before District court judge Forrest who described Gunn as “rude, overbearing and offensive”.
The evidence is clear she was anything but that as Justice Peters has pointed out.
Lower Court judges are frequently failed lawyers, unable to earn a living in a crowded field. This case was riddled with outright corruption. The behaviour by the Police was disgraceful. Gunn is entitled to substantial compensation.

Traditionally, if a law firm's senior litigation partner was past their used by date, certain communications would be made, and they would be appointed to the District Court bench. Today it is largely DEI. But lawyers who are good have no interest spending the rest if their working lives in a room with no windows, giving fines for petty criminal and traffic offenses.
Totally agree Bob. These poor excuses have strong liberal leanings that eliminate any form of impartiality.
Absolutely Liz Gunn, should be compensated for the insults by the district court judge which added to injuries of broken bones she received from the police at the airport .
All this abuse was likely from the fact she was involved in investigating as a journalist the Ardern family's tyranny enforcing the covid vaccine on a pacific island.
This case is indicative of why there has been a steady, remorseless, collapse of confidence in NZ’s legal profession.
