An excellent video. This is the sort of passionate advocacy we need from our politicians. I haven't heard one who would present the co-governance dilemma in such an articulate way. A true New Zealander concerned for all New Zealanders.
Regarding the upcoming review of the Waitangi Tribunal, the appointees seem to be biased towards achieving a bit of a whitewash. Obviously the Tribunal will not be abolished as Potaka has more or less said "We are putting in place a system for generations to come". also "The Waitangi Tribunal is for all New Zealanders". No it isn't. Tribalism is the end goal and incremental progress the method used. Five years ago many were saying we will end up losing access to areas of New Zealand. If, as in this case the tribes block off areas, that will happen.

A great commentary and a clear view of what awaits us if the tribes get control. I don't think I can do better here than quote Socrates on Democracy: "Our constitution is named a democracy because it is in the hands of not of the few but of the many. But our laws secure equal justice for all in their private disputes, and our public opinion welcomes and honours talent in every branch of achievement, on grounds of excellence alone". That should be New Zealand's goal but we are letting the few, with little evidence of excellence in their makeup, just greed and cupidity, attempt a takeover. It has to stop. Local body elections should be in the sights of every right-thinking New Zealander.

Auckland City Council and its advisers ... what an ongoing miserable joke being played out by the woke with inevitable destructive consequences.

The alternate ...none that I can see other than a bit of huffing and puffing.

If I could figure how, I would send AS a copy of my submission to the Council. Frittered most of Easter pondering and preparing. In the past the degree of public objection to maori domination has been very limited. Some years ago public comment for a then yet to be drafted management plan for the ranges was sought. Only a summary of the reponses, only 100 or so, was released. I was curious that no mention of caution about maori control (as the Tupuna Maunga Authority). With intervention from the Minister, then Mahuta, I got all released. Despite the lesson from the Maunga Authority, mine was about the only one expressing reservation. The results of the latest submissions will be interesting. Hopefully the public are waking up.
