Guest Post: The Myth That Is The Kahungunu Horse Ride From Waimarama To Parliament Exposed - It Is A Horsefloatkoi.

A Guest Post from No Minister by pdm

You might have read or heard about this proposed, mighty, feat by Kahangunu Iwi to deliver a Petition to Parliament.

A few minutes ago I stumbled across this information on Facebook and what I had thought to be at least a three or four or even six week expedition was going to be of much, much shorter duration.

I mean the blurb on the above publicity poster indicates they are riding all of the way doesn’t it?

All initial publicity said the mighty Kahungunu Tribe would be riding horses from Waimarama Beach in Hawkes Bay to the steps of Parliament in Wellington. With the emphasis on riding. But, the Horsefloatkoi is scheduled for the period Friday 11 September until Tuesday 15 September which means it starts today..

It is all bullsh*t because riding horses that distance and caring for them properly so they did not become lame or distressed would be an impossibility in the time they are doing it. In fact you could only do it with arranged relays of horses and dangerously riding through some nights by my estimations.

So what we have IS A HORSE FLOAT KOI with a limited amount of riding where the exposure is greatest and no doubt where the arranged TV Cameras will be.

Here is the the itinerary so that you can join in along the way if you wish. Even if it is only too cheer them on or boo as they pass. It won’t matter which because they won’t be able to hear you with the vehicle windows up and the bass of the rap music blasting forth.

Oh and by the way.

The comments on the various Facebook posts since the Horsefloatkoi first became public have reassured me that all participants, well the few that are gainfully employed, have taken Annual Leave for the time they are going to be off work.

Well they would wouldn’t they?

Wouldn’t they?
