Northland kaumātua start hīkoi to Parliament for better living conditions
Kaumātua are set to be loaded on to buses as they hīkoi to Parliament demanding improved living conditions.
“We need to hīkoi. It started yesterday in Te Rerenga Wairua [Cape Reinga] to bring this kaupapa to our whānau in Waitangi,” Matiu said.
The Matiu said, buses would stop at marae along the way, collecting more elders in support of the kaupapa.....

Nanaia Mahuta will lose her role as Minister for Local Government as part of a Cabinet reshuffle
Prime Minister Chris Hipkins says it's so Mahuta can focus on the foreign affairs portfolio and get overseas more often.
He said it was not a reflection of the response to the Three Waters work programme which he said was "not going to be scrapped altogether".

Taken with the huge change of direction in education (John Porter below) the election of a maori president to the Pricipals Federation just compounds the horror. I wonder who else stood and who voted. I trust voting was truly secret so fear of cancellation did not prevail.

Re 2nd. The Invercargill judge is risking his career dissing "colonisation" as the cause of all part/trace maori offending. I have considered giving up contributing to BV and instead seeking a career writing sob letters for crims. Incidentally I have just one conviction; riding a bike no hands: 1962, 30s, equivalent a staggering $150 today. I would willingly do two weeks in gaol for $3800, provided I could take some Bob Jones books and retain access to BV.
With maori running specific courses for takeover, little wonder the public services are permeated with the pro maori cult. Luxon has much to reverse. I trust he has begun plotting.
What a sad little 3rd world country nz is turning into with all our taxpayer money going into all this ninsense, 5 waters and co-governance. No wonder we have pot holed roads, slips, no health care, can't afford to fix the drains in akl so it floods etc. What on earth are they doing with our tax money? If groups such as maori iwi want to break off from society and have their own laws etc then don't expect nz taxpayers to fund it.
