Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to New Zealand 2.0: land of the long white cloud, kiwifruit, and apartheid. Oh, sorry, I mean co-governance. That’s the shiny, politically palatable term slapped on this grotesque social experiment where your rights depend on your bloodline, not your backbone.
Once upon a time, Kiwis prided themselves on equality, unity, and fair play. But now? We’ve traded egalitarianism for a racial caste system that would make 1980s South Africa blush. The government’s genius idea? To divide a nation of five million into two camps: those with ancestral connections to a canoe and everyone else who has the misfortune of existing in the wrong lineage.
Let’s talk about co-governance, the sanctimonious euphemism for letting unelected elites hijack democracy under the guise of cultural respect. See, the Treaty of Waitangi – once a historical document that symbolized unity – has now been weaponized into a racial landmine. Under the co-governance regime, Māori representatives (many unelected, mind you) get a veto on policy decisions. The rest of us? We’re relegated to the kids' table, told to shut up and "check our privilege."
And the audacity doesn’t stop there. Water rights, healthcare, education, and governance are being carved up like the last roast chicken at Christmas dinner – and if you’re not in the right group, tough luck. You might not even get the scraps. Apparently, equality isn’t trendy anymore; segregation is back in vogue, only this time it’s wrapped in a cloak of virtue-signalling righteousness.
But hey, don’t worry, they say. This isn’t apartheid; it’s progress. Just ignore the fact that co-governance is predicated on the belief that certain citizens deserve more say because their ancestors arrived first. Forget that the vast majority of New Zealanders – Māori included – are being dragged along on this ideological joyride without consent. And definitely don’t mention the irony of preaching inclusivity while enshrining exclusion in law.
The most laughable part? The woke brigade selling this dystopia actually believe it’s virtuous. They puff their chests and pat themselves on the back, smugly proclaiming their moral superiority. But scratch the surface, and you’ll find the same rotten core: identity politics masquerading as justice. It’s not about fairness; it’s about control.
New Zealand, let’s call this what it is: racism with better PR. Co-governance isn’t about honouring the past or righting historical wrongs. It’s about manufacturing division, dismantling democracy, and pandering to a vocal minority at the expense of everyone else.
So, here’s the deal: if you’re not pissed off yet, you should be. Because if this farce continues, the only thing co-governance will succeed in doing is tearing New Zealand apart.

Its worse than that. They want tribal rule, to be the ‘landlord’ of it all and collect the rent from those ‘slaves’ who choose to stay and pay. Its like a ‘reset’ where you will own nothing and be happy, eh.
Its too stupid to be stupid and that’s why I call it the ‘Corporate Apartheid Agenda’.
Could someone close to our PM drop this on his foot in the hope it aggravates a bunion or two? Since this is the biggest threat to his government/tenure, it is hard to believe that he and his peers are blind to it! A happy New Year would see it dealt with along with the Maori electorates, the Waitangi Tribunal, the woke msm and the similarly afflicted judiciary. Okay, tell me I'm dreaming ...
In the co-gov. model, the veto ( aka prior consent, due consultation, final approval etc) is for Maori only. This means that co - governance is a total misnomer - already, ultimate control exists in legislation and waiting to be enshrined in by a written " partnership-based" constitution.
This plan for 2040 must advance - which explains why Luxon refuses to give the people a legally binding referendum where they would still choose democracy over ethnocracy. Now it is up to the citizens to rise but the odds are stacked against them.
People should remain vigilant - at some point, they can leave but their assets will be frozen in Aotearoa. As in the Zimbabwe situation.
Spot on, this is a good summary. Unfortunately, we can’t tolerate this apartheid system any more as we have to think about what sort of future our kids will have. So along with thousands of others, we have made the move back to Australia. Such a pity as we have had many glorious years in New Zealand and we left with heavy hearts.
Seymour knew that his Treaty Bill must be presented now to create some type of debate - even if Luxon refuses to permit it to progress further. Waiting longer would be too risky. Strong public support for the Bill will be very hard to ignore. But efforts will be made to present the outcomes as a 50/50 situation - as befits a divided nation. It will not fade away into oblivion
The division is escalating in the vacuum created by gutless leadership. All credit to David Seymour trying to reverse the damage while the rest of his governing brethren are running for the hills led by Luxon.
To add to thd looming disaster, what if Australia closes the escape route as they are being overwhelmed by fleeing Kiwis ?
We can't just go on with 'aint it awful'. We can now see how we got into this with generations of politicians from Geoffrey Palmer through Jim Bolger, Doug Graham, Chris Finlayson etc all thinking how nobly unracist they were being - and Luxon's one of that breed. In fact it has all been very racist, and we have to stop moaning and ACT.
There is a percentage of Maori who are racist and that would include all in the Maori Party and many in the Greens. However, to deny that very few non Maori are racist against all Maori does not help matters. I am not talking about what happened in the 1800s but what happened in our lifetime. Do all those who have commented know about the racism in Pukekohe in the 60s and 70s?
Chuck Bird , Thats 65 years ago ,where you discuss racism in Pukekohe. Give it a break in 2025., this is racism NOW in all NZ .
Sad to say, everything happening here at present has happened elsewhere in the world. For some reason we fail to learn from events elsewhere and even from mistakes made here in earlier times.
For those of us unable to go to saner places rests the future of the country we would leave our children and their children.
I suspect not much will happen until such time as Joe Blogs Maori figures out what will be his or her future will be under tribal rule.
The elephant in the room in this discussion is that Maori don’t exist, just part-Maori. There are no full blooded Maori so what we’re talking about is a group of part-White people who call themselves Maori.
Basil, Are you saying now all racial problems are 100% the fault of Maori? If that is you view and the majority of non Maori racial problems will not be solved any time some.
And really Chuck, do you want your great grand children apologizing to Maori in perpetuity for the actions of some white people 100 years prior ?
That's the same situation we are in today - it's not fair or reasonable, and has to stop now.
Anonymous, what about racist now? All Maori frequently get blamed for actions of some Maori. The majority of Maori get nothing from settlements jusr the brown elite.
