Ele Ludemann: And the awards go to:

And the awards go to:

The When too Safe Becomes Ridiculous award goes to the directive for Santa’s helpers on Christmas parade floats to wear seat belt.

The These aren’t Sunset Industries award goes to the food and fibre sector which once again is showing its strength and resilience, and is set to break records.

The Get a Dictionary award goes to all those critics who accuse the government of austerity.

The Wrong Place for Politics award goes to the Nursing Council for confusing indoctrination with education in its cultural competency standards.

The Wrong Time, Wrong Place for Politicis award goes to the addition of a political statement before the haka. The coaching team and Rugby Union get the same award for okaying it and not understanding why it wasn’t appropriate.

The Science When it Suits award goes to the eco-zealots whose political agenda and ideology blinds them to some of the scientific answers to the challenges they purport to be trying to solve.

Related to that, the Cart Before Horse and Colder, Hungier, Poorer awards goes to the politicians and bureaucrats who put ideological policies before what’s practical and affordable.

The Nightmayor award goes to Wellington and its mayor Tory Whanau

The Empress has Someone Else’s Clothes award goes to Golriz Ghahraman for shoplifting.

The Dead Rat Swallowing award goes to the Green Party for using the Waka Jumping Act they opposed so strongly to rid parliament of Darleen Tana.

The Racism and Profanity award goes to Kiri Tamihere-Waititi for this rant.

The Far Softer on Left and Perceived Minorities award goes to the media for not reporting prominently, if at all, behaviour like this which would be headlined for days had it come from the centre or right.

The Saying it Doesn’t Make it So and Feelings Don’t Change Facts awards go to the trans-activists and their disciples who don’t accept that sex is immutable.

The Which Bit of the Way Hamas Treats Gay People Don’t They Understand? award goes to Queers for Palestine.

A knighthood needs to go to Winston Peters to help him in his most vital of work. Other knighthoods to young people who lead the export charge enabling us to live a first world life.

Too many knighthoods have gone to people who have actually trashed our society not built it up.

Name them Gaynor! Of course that won't prove anything of consequence except illustrate your political proclivities, but at least that will help us judge the rigour of your analysis.
