Hamas has executed three Palestinians accused of “collaborating” with Israel on the streets of Gaza, just hours after the UK, Australia and Canada announced their recognition of a Palestinian state. The Telegraph has more.
Footage posted on Hamas-affiliated Telegram accounts showed armed and masked members of the group lining up three blindfolded Palestinians in a public square in Gaza.
Chants of “Allahu Akbar” were heard among the crowd as they gathered to watch and film the public execution.
One of the Hamas members was heard saying: “Pursuant to the content of Palestinian revolutionary law and based on the Palestinian revolutionary court, a death sentence was decided against those who betrayed the homeland, betrayed their people and betrayed their cause, and put [themselves] hand-in-hand with the occupation in order to kill their own people.”
The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis provided the Telegraph with an English translation of the execution video.
The three men were ordered to kneel before three executioners shot them in their heads and upper bodies with rifles.
Notes with handwritten Arabic were then laid on the bodies, reading: “Your betrayal will not pass without punishment. A harsh punishment awaits.”
Israel Hayom cited a Hamas official saying that two other terror groups, Islamic Jihad and the Mujahideen Brigades, participated in the execution.
The public executions came just hours after the UK, Australia and Canada announced their recognition of a Palestinian state.
Hamas has a long history of executing Palestinians accused of collaborating with Israel or, most recently, stealing aid.
In early May, Hamas executed six Palestinians and shot another 13 in their legs after they were accused of looting humanitarian aid.
Hamas’s ministry of interior and national security also claimed that the “group of outlaws” were collaborators with Israel.

I'd like to read the full article but run into a paywall when using the link given.
The US has declined to recognize the state - there really isn't one anyway. It will be interesting to see if Winston Peters has the gumption to do likewise.
To the disgrace of the Oxford Union Debate , the motion "That this house believes Israel is an apartheid state responsible for genocide' parts of Mosab Hassan Yousef 's speech in opposition to this was censored. This man , once a Hamas member and the son of a Hamas leader , is remarkably intelligent and has a deep understanding of the Israeli - Palestine conflict.
He has defected to the Israeli side and to stand up and speak means he risks his life.
When the West's media , further backed by anti Western values of academia persists in supporting Hamas and undermining Israel , what else can you expect from politicians who are also clearly disinterested in the truth?
"...showed armed and masked members of the group lining up three blindfolded Palestinians in a public square in Gaza."
How do we know these conveniently masked individuals were Palestinians and weren't Israelis?
Think about it: given the very conspicuous timing of this coinciding with several nations recognising Palestinian statehood, and the anti-Palestinan sentiments it is meant to elicit to undermine such recognition, it seems to me that Jews would be the leading suspects in what is very plausible a false flag PR exercise.
On the other hand, why would Palestinians do this, at this time of all times, and put it on social media?
Of recent times, this is not the first time such executions were carried out in a "public place", by Hamas and made public.
If it is still available to "view", there is/was a video, on YouTube - filmed by Hamas, accomplishing the same tactic, but with around 5 Palestinian males.
It is a noted "tactic' by this "ever friendly group of people" and when done in a public space is designed, by Hamas, to ensure that the Population - "take note, we are the controlling agents of your destiny, overstep the mark, whamo".
And this is the same "ever friendly group of people" that Macron (French President [for the moment]), wants other Nations to recognize as a Nation & People.
It is also the same "ever friendly group of people" whose origins go back to Yasser Arafat and his "attempts" to create a Palestinian State and very time they got close to that objective, Hamas & other Palestinian terror groups 'rejected the concept'.
Mind you, the UN "bent a knee" to this terror group, long ago that is why they do nothing to remedy the current situation.
And no other Arab Nations are going to help either.
And to I.C Clairly - they were Palestinian citizens, most possibly working with Israeli food distribution systems, not under control of Hamas - so, as I said above - "whamo" - not acceptable actions from said victims. .
