Ele Ludemann: It would be much easier

It would be much easier to have sympathy for the calls to free Palestine and end the suffering in Gaza if the people making them acknowledged the atrocities that Hamas committed in Israel on October 7th.

It would be much easier to have sympathy for the calls if those making them acknowledged that Hamas is still holding hostages taken on October 7th and that they all must be freed unharmed.

It would be much easier to have sympathy for the calls if those making them unequivocally condemned Hamas.

It would be much easier to support the call to recognise the state of Palestine if it was a place with existing and universally accepted borders.

It would be much easier to support that call if the state had a democratically elected government.

It would be much easier to support that call if there was no question that the recognition of the state depended on several conditions, including the unequivocal condemnation of Hamas.

Quite straightforward really and what the media portrays isn’t necessarily the truth!

Absolutely. Everyone has just jumped on the hollow, virtue signalling band wagon.

How many people know and understand that HAMAS was created and supported by Israel decades ago as a counter balance to the PLA??

The PLA?
