When Jacinda Ardern quit as New Zealand Prime Minister in 2023, she announced in her resignation speech, “You cannot, and should not, do it unless you have a full tank — plus a bit in reserve for those unexpected challenges”.
The Morrinsville Meteor’s metaphor of running short on fossil fuel somewhat missed her mark, given Ardern’s ardent adherence to climate change carbon catastrophisation. In her campaign speech before New Zealand’s 2017 general election, she’d pontificated, “This [climate change] is my generation’s nuclear-free moment, and I am determined that we will tackle it head on”.
The temperature of Ardern’s commitment to climate change moralizing remains high. She’s just attended the most recent UN climate change conference (COP30), in Brazil, as the Special Envoy for Oceania.
Speaking at COP30 and conveniently ignoring the vast amounts of carbon dioxide she personally contributes to the atmosphere (winging her way through speaking tours, attending conferences etc.), Jacinda hypocritically chastised Pacific Island nations for not pulling their weight…
“We all have to do our bit, otherwise the idea of collective action on climate falls apart.”
Having become a rich member of the neo-Marxist cultural elite, Ardern now doesn’t get, or want to have much to do with, poor people. If climate change is indeed a genuine threat to Pacific Islands, Ardern was victim blaming.
Ardern was appointed Climate Change Special Envoy for Oceania by the United Nations, and it’s the United Nations top job that – with her fresh full tank of fossil fuel - Ardern may now be eyeing up. And her candidacy would have no greater backer than her ideological mentor, mega rich globalist George Soros.
Ardern is the leader of the Field Fellowship, a program run by the Centre for American Progress (CAP) Action Fund, a Washington-based think tank. CAP Action Fund’s major funder is Open Society Foundations (OSF), with George Soros as OSF’s founder and George’s son Alex now Chairman of OSF’s Board of Directors.
Jacinda and George Soros are both big fans of “open societies”, but certainly not in the sense of espousing freedoms of expression. Their “open societies” ideal means World Government and the extinguishment of the Westphalian notion of the nation-state.
During Europe’s self-inflicted 2015 refugee “crisis”, Soros wrote, “Our plan treats the protection of refugees as the objective and national borders as the obstacle”, calling national sovereignty “an anachronistic concept”.
Soros pretends to favour, but in fact abhors, free speech. Couched in the language of opposition to hate speech, dis/mis/mal-information, the Soros boys’ OSF funds the Global Disinformation Index, an index that compiles a blacklist of media outlets that advertisers should avoid, and also the Poynter Institute, an international “fact-checking” network that aims to “moderate” media outlets in the direction of global Wokery. OSF naturally backs the European Union’s Digital Services Rules for removal of “harmful” online content.
Soros’ fanaticism for censoring freedom of expression dovetails nicely with Ardern’s “Christchurch Call”, her cynical exploitation of the Christchurch Mosques Massacre to try and control and manipulate freedoms of expression and online content.
But in truth it would be an exaggeration to suggest that Jacinda Ardern understands much about George Soros’ globalist visions, or the censorious, globalist philosophies that underpin Soros’ sinister transhumanism. Ardern is more of a dupe whose sails are rigged to pick up whatever quasi-religious wafts happen to be in the air as she pursues her ambitions; from Mormonism, to Communism, to Wokery, to World Government.
So rumours are mounting that Ardern now has her sights set on becoming the next Secretary-General of the UN, and the first woman (biological female) to hold that position. António Guterres’ term as UN S-G ends in December 2026 and the UN has begun to solicit nominations for his replacement, to take office on 1 January 2027.
Ardern has repeatedly stated that she is “done with politics”, but don’t believe a word of it. Politics is all Jacinda has ever known, or will ever do, or be (her sinecures at Harvard and Oxford are political, not academic, positions).
The next leg of Ardern’s escalating charm offensive will be her appearance on The Graham Norton Show, which will air in the UK on Friday, 5 December 2025. Jacinda will be joined by Kate Winslet, Alan Carr, and Seth Meyers. The episode will air in New Zealand on TVNZ on 12 December 2025. Her Graham Norton appearance is curated to coincide with the 5 December UK release of her autobiographical documentary, Prime Minister.
If Ardern does indeed succeed in becoming the next UN Secretary-General, it will be a major triumph and coup not only for George Soros, but also for Klaus Schwab and his World Economic Forum.

Maybe JA does want the top UN job! Perhaps she secretly is learning French. Helen Clark refused to learn French, and it cost her. Check out how many languages UN leaders speak. Maybe JA's banking on her smattering of Te Reo, that prominent international language of Diplomacy.
