JC: Trump 2026 Is Already on Show

America has shown it can operate quickly, decisively and effectively when it comes to conducting military operations. We should all be thankful.

There is no doubting Donald Trump’s intentions in 2026. With the New Year only four days old, he showed the world where his priorities lie – primarily focused on those who cause mayhem and destruction in their own countries and export that evil to America and elsewhere. This is fundamental to his overarching agenda ‘America First’, which covers many areas: economic, social, foreign policy, education, health, criminality and justice.

Trump is a leader who should be taken at his word. If he says he coming after you, as in the case with Venezuela’s Maduro, he means it. In contrast to the United Nations, Trump is not an ‘over the teacups’ individual. He knows the only way to solve problems is by taking the necessary steps to that end. If that is militarily, then so be it – and he has the means and the ability.

This is the second military operation carried out by Trump with no loss of American life. Like the bombing in Iran, the goal was achieved quickly and cleanly. Perhaps the starkest contrast is comparing the Venezuelan operation to Putin’s efforts to take Ukraine. Putin, if you recall, was going to conquer Ukraine in three days. Trump managed the same feat within three hours in a country 50 per cent larger than Ukraine.

Putin should be taking notice, along with other world leaders including those of China, Iran, Mexico and Cuba.

It should not go unnoticed that Russia, China and Iran (the cowardly Ayatollah from the protection of his bunker) are the ones protesting the loudest. The reason is that these leaders run regimes similar to Maduro – regimes designed to benefit them and their elites and to hell with their downtrodden, oppressed and impoverished people. There is no democracy in these countries, far from it.

Does anyone care about the plight of these peoples? Helen Clark has made it clear she doesn’t. She and the experts on One and Three News are more concerned about international law being broken. No doubt the useless United Nations will bleat on the same topic. We should get the hell out of these ‘wastes of space’ and instead spend the money on things like health, education and housing.

The world is in one heck of a mess and weak leadership around the Western world is the cause. The left of politics is largely to blame and that is the subject of my next article: their incompetence is mind boggling. The sole leader trying to save the world and its peoples from further mayhem is Trump.

Domestically, Trump is determined to oust anti-democratic behaviour and DEI nonsense, and to protect religious freedom, institute a basic education system, protect the right to life and close borders, alongside deporting illegal immigrants and stamping out fraud and other criminal activity. He has installed a team and many of his aims are being met. Compare this to the hapless Starmer and Reeves in the United Kingdom. The difference is one of will and determination.

Internationally, Trump has shown America is, and has, a force to be reckoned with. The Ayatollah might be hiding in his bunker but Trump knows exactly where that is. Trump has said if the regime resorts to killing innocent civilians then America will not sit idly by. In Trump’s own words “We are locked and loaded and ready to go.” The Ayatollah had better believe it.

The same goes for Xi Jinping and China. Xi can fly over and float around Taiwan, but it would be in his own interests not to try anything more. Again, Trump will not sit idly by. This commentary makes Trump sound like a warmonger, but he is the exact opposite. His priority is to protect the democratic rights of people. And so, if peace is not secured in the Middle East, he will give Israel the green light to go back into the Gaza Strip and elsewhere to finish the job.

Trump’s actions will largely define 2026, domestically and internationally, particularly economically and in the area of foreign policy. Other major world leaders don’t stand up to scrutiny – they either support terrorism and criminal behaviour or are too weak to do anything about it. ‘Political correctness’ has no place in today’s unstable world. Leaders of strength who project a no-nonsense attitude are the ones who are needed, but they appear to be in short supply.

The world is in crisis and the only person taking action is Trump. The United Nations talk, NATO talks, the EU talks, while Putin carries on his merry way, Hamas are re-establishing themselves in Gaza, China is threatening Taiwan and the little tyrant in North Korea is testing his long-range missiles. Talking doesn’t solve any of this. The longer the talking continues, the greater the chance of World War III.

There is ample evidence already that the people of Venezuela are very thankful for Trump’s intervention and hopefully will now get the freedom they deserve. Many have lost everything: the country is wrecked and, unbelievably, all the world seems worried about is whether Trump has broken international law. Since when did the likes of Maduro ever obey international law or uphold laws pertaining to democracy.

We rely on America as they have the military might – and that advantage must be used responsibly, as Trump has done both in Iran and Venezuela. America has shown it can operate quickly, decisively and effectively when it comes to conducting military operations.

We should all be thankful.

At this point I also see Trump as a bulwark against the weird and wacky directives of the UN. So, we have a world body(UN) agreeing many New Zealanders are racist colonisers and nobody here blinks an eye. President Trump gets rid of an unelected, corrupt dictator and disarms a hostile nuclear-armed country without bloodshed and many New Zealanders, including Helen Clark, are up in arms. I think we have to realise the norms of social behaviour are changing wildly and sadly different methods are going to be required to solve problems.

Perhaps the readers of this column should go on line and view some of the US late night talk shows eg Jon Stewart, Colbert, Seth Myers, Kimmel to get a letter understanding of Trump, his character, and many flaws.
Is this man fit to run the USA, and by extension impact the lives of virtually everyone on this planet ?

I am a staunch advocate of an international rules-based order in principle and an international law graduate but am also the first to concede that international law is generally a toothless tiger and that it has been hijacked to a degree by marxofascists on various UN bodies.
Please don't throw out the baby with the bathwater - we do need a rules-based world order and gentlemanly behaviour on all sides. But until the world is ready for it, that ideal will have to be put on hold.

It has been said that two wrongs don't make a right which is true but in certain cases it just might be necessary, which doesn't make it a wrong! The people of Venezuela might be dancing in the streets now that a despot has gone. Where is that august body, the United Nations, in this, and all of the other skirmishes that are going on around the world? The United States has done the job of the United Nations!

I am not sure that this contribution and its likes assists an ultimately better world. Or enhances BV. It champions democracy but only when it suits. The important thing is that Americans will be able to continue running their Ford Ranchers and Dodge Rams to do their supermarket shopping.Future generations can worry about global warming, assuing radiation sickness or direct explosion does not get them .

Any comments about the 55 people that died in Trumps raid on Maduro ?
Or does the end justify the means ?
Simply written of as " collateral damage "?

Same as Trump's extrajudicial killings of 120 drug traffickers without trial ?

Are the International courts looking the other way ?

Under Maduro there were literally thousands of documented extrajudicial killings. It is also estimated around 7 million citizens fleed the country. I wonder why? Millions of Americans have suffered because of the drug trade so I guess estimates of 32 to 55 security personnel being killed is unfortunately "collateral damage". The above defenders of Maduro need to ask themselves "How would I depose a dictator who doesn't want to be deposed?"

What is the sweet spot for unjustified killing then Janine, care to put a number on it? Still some wiggle room upward from 55?

Any comment in Trump pardoning a convicted drug trafficker Janine, or is that collateral damage too.
I’m glad that we only have people simping for fascists on the fringes. Mainstream kiwis still stick up for good honest kiwi principles.

In 2018, the UN recorded 5,287 people killed extrajudicially under the Maduro regime. I guess the security personnel were defending Maduro. Obviously many people will live better lives if all drug trafficking is halted. What are your good, honest principles if you are a Maduro defender? What is a mainstream Kiwi? Some type of flightless bird I guess?

To anon @ 1.14, 6.13 and 6.15. Hmm, a few badies getting 'just cause' really upsets you. Why?

75000 Americans die each year from drug overdoses. Venezuela percentage of USA drug trade is approximately 10 %. Let's say 7500 people are killed by drugs from that country. Are you upset by that? Trump is mopping up the mess. It shouldn't surprise anyone, he promised to do this pre election.

Anon 7:44.
Absolutely everyone in the USA who died from a drug overdose knew the risk they were taking .
Possibly the previous dose they took was marginally under their tolerance limit, the last one was fatal.
Tough luck if you play Russian Roulette .
