CNN's decision to go after Trump's executive assistant, Natalie Harp, who travelled with him in a decoy plane to avoid an assassination attempt, with sleazy overtones, was quickly picked up by their little cousins in NZ who will loyally print anything to tarnish Trump. They don't do investigative journalism when Trump, or New Zealand's political right, is involved.
Their latest foray into gutter journalism, printing her private letters to him, omits her health struggle with bone cancer and how his 'Right to Try' Act passed in 2018 gave her access to experimental drugs which cured her and she has been singing his praises ever since.
It took me a few seconds to find that out, but the biased NZ mainstream media were hardly going to print a fact like this; it would have ruined their story. They rule the airwaves: when they need balance to support their mates on the left, they'll find it.
The letters apparently show nothing more than she sees him as a sort of a saint, which we all know is far from the truth.(I long ago dubbed him 'the incoherent rambler' and avoid listening to him). This young woman has also been subjected to disgusting verbal attacks by Democrat hopeful Jon Ossoff, all in the quest to get at Trump. How anyone could vote for him is beyond me.
It's tough being a conservative woman as our politicians know. Remember the misogynistic treatment of Judith Collins and the media's protection of their Saint Jacinda? Rinse and repeat with this American woman who was just trying to do her job before the corrupt judgemental media stuck their oar in. What has it got to do with us in NZ? And what of the effects of this social media onslaught on her mental health, which the left are always so concerned about when it suits their purposes. What hypocrites!
But lies and a misogynistic attack approach to conservative women they fear and are threatened by has become the domain of the left. And probably one reason Republicans still stand a chance of winning in 2026 and 2028.
This also applies to our biased media who target anyone who fails to comply with their politics of the left. Therefore their hatred of David Seymour and his quest for equality for all New Zealanders knows no bounds. His policy to remove race based hiring and cultural practices in the public service if re-elected, had me from the title, along with my party vote.
Tova O'Brien was ready for a fight when he introduced it on Breakfast but didn't get the chance as Derek Chan did the interview. O'Brien is rather tiring to watch as like the Italians, cut her hands off she can't speak.
The intrepid Women in Act know, like Harp, best not get on the wrong side of the judgemental media or you will cop it. But they constantly, bravely, put themselves in the line of fire with contrary policy to those sitting in judgement in the media (and the likes of Luxon), who support appeasement of Maori.
Potaka proudly informed us in the House this week the Coalition (think National) have donated $200 million of taxpayer money for marae upgrades this term. He outdid Jackson's mere $100 million from Ardern's government.
Where was that in National's 2023 election manifesto? We have been scammed.
I often wonder if Brooke van Velden's resignation is partly due to the ongoing harassment of Act women. She comes across as a gentle, unassuming woman, but proved to have a will of steel up against the unions and the dimwit left politicians when her pay equity rewrite saved the spend thrift finance minister billions and enabled her to balance the budget. And her other policy work in the employment area has been widely praised.
Not to forget Karen Chour who defiantly fights and legislates for the rights of young Maori people, ignoring the whingeing from the left. And Nicole McKee has taken her fair share of criticism, but is up for the fight, deserved of her new deputy leader role.
Women in NZ First and National (Stanford in particular) have also taken their fair share of harassment from unions and the media.
Not all criticism of women is harassment or misogynistic but compared to the lack of it by the media during the Labour government, we know it when we see it.
It was an uphill battle for Seymour's flawless and indefatigable fight for his Treaty Principles Bill which Luxon trashed and Winston refused to support, so was always destined to fail.
His new policy would be a good replacement, but he needs the numbers in the house to enact it.
The media will not discuss this. No Stuff poll on who supports Seymour's new policy. Ryan Bridge ignored it, as did Kerre and the afternoon talk host.
They ignore it because they fear it. It's politically incorrect to discuss Maori separatism as it makes the left angry; they call it racist, which of course is precisely what race based hiring and forcing cultural practices on employees in the work place is...racist.
The left always accuse their enemies of what they themselves are guilty of.
The big issue this year is bubbling under the surface and it is not the economy. Luxon, the media, the unions, the public service are happy not to discuss it. But thousands resent what is happening to our country They did not vote for this.
It is the real elephant in the room... The growth of Apartheid in New Zealand.
Although I like Winston and support some of his policies his heart does not seem to be in it when it comes to action required to restore equality for all. He's good from a distance, for example, running on a policy in 2026 to remove Maori seats, safe in the knowledge Luxon will never agree to it. He had the opportunity once before years ago and caved.
He has had three years but failed to remove Treaty references from the public service. He will move heaven and earth to get his way when determined enough. Remember the NO sign decades ago?
So I can't give him my support.
Hard working Act and their intrepid leader who have chosen the path less travelled, failed and are now trying again in the face of Maori activism, public service marxists and media hatred, deserve it more and I am hopeful that thousands of others agree with me.

If PM Luxon could read the room politically he would discuss with Hon David Seymour , his thoughts of uniting NZ by reducing the size of parliament and how National could assist before the election and the concern over winning would evaporate .
NZ wants and needs this direction both fiscally and politically.

Numerous times I have texted/ emailed asking Hosking to address these issues with the PM on his Monday morning interviews...all assiduously ignored.

Agree, I've been telling my National MP that if they do not address the Maorification/co-governance issues and stop wasting our taxes then we won't have an economy worth thinking about. ACT are the only party truly trying to put NZ back on track and have fair treatment for all.

And, apart for the wholly inappropriate 'Sneetch' mentality adopted by too many in NZ, it seems people really are slow to realise how much this Treaty/Maorification nonsense is really costing this country in time, money and productivity - more especially in our multitudinous bureaucracies.
Then there is our PM, who thinks the "affirmation" of UNDRIP (in the FTA with India) won't have any serious consequences, because its "not enforceable" and "we will not do it again" (in other Treaty agreements). How naive, and he also needs to realise that Maori aren't 'indigenous', but that doesn't stop the activists pursuing this divisive claptrap that would lead most assuredly to this country's ruination. It is thr kiwi way. The same thing happens in our friends or work groups. People just ignore an issue that is bit distasteful and hope that it will either go away by itself or someone else will magically fix it. Then suddenly activists are occupying your lawn saying that your house belongs to them, but by then it is too late.

The only time when you display a trace of bias is when you characterise left-wing attacks on right-wing figures as some kind of male crusade against women. The media's criticism of a conservative female like Natalie Harp or Judith Collins is no more misogyny than the media's criticism of a conservative male like Donald Trump is misandry. The left simply hates the right, and it's gender-neutral. Please don't dilute the intellectual purity of your arguments by hinting at victimhood.

Why do you suppose that it is gender neutral? I’m not sure. And I’m curious to understand your reasons. The attacks on right-leaning women are fierce and often result in those women losing jobs, opportunities, etc, where their right-leaning male colleagues do not. It seems that right-leaning women are considered the highest-level traitors to a cause which the left expects them to support, hence the ferocity of attacks on the right-leaning women.
Do you have reasons for supposing that it is gender neutral? I ask seriously because it’s something that weighs on me that I’m trying to figure out.
